Great buy!!

Update:It's been nearly a year and I've put some miles on these--both traveling to National and State parks as well as weekend hiking. These shoes are so light, comfortable, grippy and well-fitting that I have been able to increase my mileage and confidence. (I use a pole too which also has been great). Being sure footed and not experiencing fatigue in my feet has been a game changer in my ability and stamina.I love these hikers! I was looking for something NOT waterproof as we were going to Big Bend in Texas and I wanted breathable shoes. These were a great choice! Roomy roomy toe bed allows my feet to spread for best balance (while not being overly wide elsewhere) and the grip was exceptional on a variety of rough terrain. As others have said there's not a lot of cushion in the insole but some basic inserts fixed that right up. I also love the color and find myself wearing these day-to-day as well as my go-to hiker. I like all of my Columbias--I think they are great gear for the money--but these are one of my favorites.

Great shoe for hiking

Bought to wear hiking on vacation. Excellent choice. Would highly recommend the Columbia brand for durability, comfort, stability, & sturdiness on the trail.

Great hiking shoe

These are great. I wore these right out of the box for some hiking in Costa Rica and they didn't hurt at all. No rubbing either. They held up well and have good grip on uneven surfaces. I can't attest to whether they are waterproof yet. They are way cuter than another brand of hiking shoes I bought, and they look great with shorts or leggings if that matters to you. I think these are a great hiking shoe for this price range. I am usually a size 9.5 narrow and the 9.5 fit perfect.

Good sturdy trail hikers!

I really like this shoe. Did a 4.6 mile hike on rocky terrain first time out in them. I like the roomy toe box and was grateful the overall fit isn’t too wide/sloppy on my foot. I put my own insoles with arch supports in them. I don’t think the shoes have great arch support on their own. They are more sturdy than bouncy/cushy, which is what I was hoping for. I can get cushy with regular tennis shoes. These are made for the trail. Great traction. Get them!

Great shoe support. Size 11W for women.

Couldn't be happier. I have a hard time finding wide toe box shoes that will fit my custom-high-arch insoles I need. The other problem is the little toe bunion on both feet rubbing the stitching on the outsides. I have a wide foot, narrow heel, high arch, plus one leg longer than the other which affects one ankle. These shoes are perfect comfort right out of the box; no break in needed. I can't rave about them enough. I've had 3 different pair of Columbias, and they are all true to size. None of the Columbia shoes run hot; good mesh up front.

So comfy I want more of them

These shoes are the most comfortable shoe for plantar fasciitis and standing a good amount. They are breathable and lightweight enough for a jog. The grip is good as a trail shoe but I wouldn’t go hiking a bunch. They have a water resistance but I don’t know if I would say waterproof. The overall shoe quality is great!
