Comfortable shoes

These shoes are very comfortable. I got a size 8 and they are true to size, not tight. They did slip in the heel a little the first time I wore them then I realized the shoelaces weren’t looped through the last holes. When I did that then the shoes didn’t slip at all. They just needed to be tighter around my ankle. There is a lot of cushion and padding for feet. I wear them inside on our treadmill so not certain how they are with the change of the weather. There’s a lot of grips on the sole. They aren’t the cutest shoe but they are comfortable.

Wide toe box, tons of cushion, decent arch support, impressive traction

These shoes were a pleasant surprise! I am super picky about shoes. I wear Altras for trail and road, exclusively. I need a wide toe box and prefer zero-drop shoes for road and trail runs and hikes. I've tried Columbia trail shoes previously and didn't like the fit. These are different!I wear a 6 in casual shoes, 7.5 in Altras, and 7 in most running shoes. The 7 in this fits perfect. I'd say the heel is a little wide but adjusts pretty well. I used all the lacing holes as usual and was able to get a comfortable fit all along my foot. They have impressive traction and a decent amount of arch support. The shoes are SO padded and made my feet look huge. They are quite stiff and hard compared to most of my shoes. I wore them for a 20-minute walk/jog and felt my calves and shins a bit since I'm not used to shoes with a higher drop. They actually felt pretty good. I find they worked better on trail surfaces (grass, rocks, etc.) and were too firm for me on road.I'd wear these hiking, not running. They are so built up I'd expect them to last quite a while. They are not waterproof but their breathability would still make them a good choice because they'd dry easily if you got wet. At $130, they are definitely pricy but actually decent for what most trail shoes and boots cost these days. And the color is a bonus!

Need strong calves

These shoes are great quality, have a ton of cushion, but are lightweight at the same time. You’re going to need to have strong calves and shins because the thick cushion will definitely be working them out while you’re walking on flat terrain. They have good grip for walking on trails and uneven surfaces. The design is cute and I like the color combination. I did size up 1/2 size and I do regret it a little bit so I would stick to your true size for fit. You also need to make sure the laces are up all the way into the sneaky last hole to get the most support while climbing uneven terrain. I wouldn’t say they are necessarily waterproof, but they didn’t soak my socks when I stepped in a puddle at the same time. Overall a good hiking shoe for areas that aren’t too crazy but you’re still looking for some grip and support.

Such a comfortable shoe!

I am in love with these Columbia hiking shoes. The sole is nice and thick that it makes you feel like you’re walking on a cloud. There is so much tread on the bottoms which is important in hiking shoes when you are on various terrains that are uneven or slippery. I also use them just as walking shoes because they are so comfortable. The style is cute and I am so happy with them.
