These are great! They look very nice, are definitely waterproof (water just beads up and rolls off), very easy to clean, they’re comfortable, durable (and yet still lightweight), and fit true to size. The first time I wore them was for a 14 mile hike and they’re was no discomfort. Highly recommend!
These shoes are true to size and comfortable. Great ankle support. Durable and not to heavy. Rugged enough to step on stones and rocks. My first pair of hiking boots and I’m breaking them in on these trails.
Feet: Apx 9" long, 3 12/16" wide at their widest point.Previous shoes: 7.5W Easy Spirit Punters,purchased from Amazon in 2017. Falling apart and feel a tad long now. Tried to order more but they don't fit the same.After consulting the Columbia size chart decided on a 6.5W.I am extremely disappointed in these shoes. Someone in a shoe discussion on Reddit said this brand was the only one that fit their wide feet well , but I did not find them wide at all. I followed the size chart but had to fight to get my foot in, and then it was painfully tight everywhere. Complete torture. The soles measure almost 4" wide just like my Easy Spirit Punters, so I don't know why they don't fit, but they don't.They are nice looking shoes -seemed long enough- but very stiff and not true to width AT ALL. I may try some other styles by this brand to compare but so far I'm not impressed and don't recommend this style to my fellow wide width-ers out there.The version I purchased was Amazon Prime with free returns and I am returning for free via UPS drop off.
Sturdy, tough boots. Exceeded expectations.
These aren’t particularly comfortable. The tongue folds into the shoe on the sides, so there are three bulky layers of material pressing against the top of your foot. Even after “breaking in” the sole, they’re very stiff, and don’t tighten enough at the top of the laces to prevent your heel from slipping. It’s confusing that the shoe is advertised as water proof, but the specifications say not water proof. I wore them in wet grass just fine, but they wouldn’t do well in rain. Since I’ve already hiked through wet grass in then, I can’t return them, but I can warn you not to buy them.
