Edited after some wear: they are still great boots. I wore them all over NYC, many miles of walking, and they were supportive and comfortable. Wore them a lot the rest of winter. They look super cute with cropped skinny jeans. My only complaint is that the light beige sole gets discolored but that's what happens when you encounter dirty streets!I just got these and I love them - a trip to NY looms and I needed something warm to wear in the big city (it gets SO COLD there). I wore the boots around the house all day yesterday and the only thing I noted is yes - the soles are a bit slick on slicker surfaces (like wood floors). I think wearing them on concrete/asphalt for even a short time will roughen them up perfectly. I usually wear a 7 in sandals, a 7 1/2 in shoes, an 8 in running shoes and sometimes an 8 in boots if I am wearing socks with them. I got an 8 in these and with thick wool socks, these fit perfectly. They are SO lightweight yet supportive. The brown and cream combo is adorable. I'm 60 and I think my 30 year old daughter will want these for herself. Hmmm... I can buy a second pair!

Comfortable

Great shoe for fall
4.5 stars. I got these six weeks ago and I have been wearing them constantly this fall. They are super easy to put on and feel really good. The only reason they don’t have four stars from me is because by the end of the workday my feet do get a little bit sore if I’m walking a lot. The shoes are definitely not painful at all. They’re very comfortable, but I think this type of shoe with the lug sole just naturally makes them NOT orthotic in nature or something you’d want to hike in :) Super cute with lots of different things. Would definitely purchase again.

Not boot 'material'
Very weird boot. They fit fine but the fabric of the boot and shaft is basically made out of the same fabric as a faux suede jacket - my toes were unsupported by any normal 'boot structure', and the silhouette of my toes was completely visible when pressed against the interior of the fabric. If the boot and shaft were made out of 'normal' boot material, I would have kept it, but because its like a shirt or thin jacket, I returned them.
