I like these a lot. I got the tan colored ones (taupe) in a 6.5 wide. I chose the wide because the regular ones were out of stock but I find them to be the perfect width. They feel stable and “roll” when I walk. Regular platforms generally have the same thickness in the sole from front to back. What makes these different is the thickness of the sole tapers near the toe so that when you walk your foot rolls forward. This reduces stress on the shoe, allows me to walk normally (I’m not clunking, I’m walking normally) and overall increases the comfort of a thick and solid sole.They look nice and will likely be my go to sandals this summer. However, I am wondering what these are made out of because it doesn’t feel like leather. It smells like a synthetic material and I suspect it is synthetic suede. This is fine as long as it’s durable and holds up well like leather. For the price I did expect real leather. It isn’t as if the entire shoe is leather so it would not cost much to use leather as the upper. It doesn’t feel like my feet will “slip out” as some have complained. Overall they feel similar to my old birks but not quite as comfortable. The metatarsal support is nice but feels a little bit too far forward for my foot.The biggest concern I have is the material. I’m not sure what it’s made from or how that material will hold up over time. I also wish they were leather because leather conforms to your foot vs synthetic materials that do not conform to your foot and don’t “break in” like leather. This would mean I’d have to loosen the straps because if they don’t conform to my foot I will need extra room to avoid blisters or skin marks.I’m a bit concerned about this as others have mentioned they slip off the foot. My guess is it’s possible the material doesn’t “give” like leather and that people loosen them for comfort making them prone to slipping off. I will return them if this begins to happen. I will update if anything significant happens (if they don’t hold up for at least a year, or if they hurt, fall apart etc). Right out of the box they seem ok. I do like the natural color against my skin, and they’re cute and add about 2 inches to my height making me a full 5’4”🤣 I would normally give 3 stars but gave 4 because of the “rolling sole” design which makes them so easy to walk in despite being platforms. If you are on the fence about width I’d suggest going with the wide. The shoe feels very stable and I would never guess this is a wide. I bought these specifically because of the tapered sole that allows a natural gait while wearing a platform shoe. Platforms generally make people walk funny. This feels entirely natural and it does not feel like a regular platform. I was on the fence between this shoe and another that I liked the appearance of much more but it did not have a tapered sole. Comfort is the most important aspect to a shoe for me. This delivers well for the price point. If you absolutely need a leather upper I would go with a different shoe. I believe the sole of the shoe may be real suede but the straps are not. Just one of those annoying “save money by using cheaper materials” things. Overall I think they are decent and will update as to any problems.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. They are so very comfortable and the stone nubuck color goes with everything. I have trouble with my feet and lower back so if I can’t wear it all day on concrete floors at work then at home and the ball field with my 5y and 2y old boys, then it isn’t worth it. These don’t bother me a bit. As comfy as my Birks (more so if I’m being honest) but the added height makes them way more versatile and less innately casual. I’m going back to purchase the black once my size is back in stock.

Wide is not wide/run small
This shoe is very close to a higher star rating except for the size challenge. I’m normally a 9.5 or 10 not really a wide, but I do have a flat foot and I order the regular (w) size in birks, not the narrow bc the narrow is too small. So I figured I’d take a wide. These run small. The 9.5 wide is not wide, it’s normal size IMO. My toes were at the edge of these and the wide was still too narrow. So I ordered a 10 wide. It is the exact same size shoe as the 9.5wide. There is zero difference (you can see them side by side in the pic) . SO now I’m wondering if I need a 10.5 or 11 wide but I don’t want to keep doing this . Not really worth trying another size for a few small centimeter difference. Other than that quality is nice, weight is good, they rock with you as you walk with is comfy. And they are super cute! they DO seem a little slippery on the tile in my house but that doesn’t bother me.
