My New Everyday Summer Sandals!
I ordered these sandals for summer, and I really like them! They’re super comfy, stylish, and have quickly become my everyday shoes. Better Than Expected, Run Wide
I was skeptical about these shoes before I received them because I thought the woven upper was made of plastic. While the entire shoe is of manmade materials, the upper is soft woven nylon rope, not plastic. They look better in person I think. The shoes fit medium and wide width feet. If your feet are narrow these are likely too wide. Also, they are big 'ole clunky-styled sandals. Very casual but certainly not a sleek, feminine look. Even with the shiny gold buckles, these are large-format flats. That's not a bad thing, just something to know in deciding if they are right for you. Here's what I like:**Upper is soft and molds to foot -- The rope part isn't scratchy, it's silky and soft.**Adjustable -- I had to adjust all four buckles to tighten. Before tightening the straps, these shoes were too big and floppy.**Comfortable Soles -- The soles are cushioned and flex for comfortable walkingWhat Could Be Better -- I took off a star for these issues:**Hard to Adjust -- The wide straps are hard to slide out of the holder loop and the prong on the buckle was difficult to get through the chosen hole. I had to poke the hole open with a sharp point then push quite hard to get the prong to go through.**Rough Stitching Causes Irritation -- The stitching where the plastic buckle base is sewn to the soft rope upper is quite thick and rough on the top of both of my feet, on the outside of each shoe. It rubs a bit, making these shoes, at least initially, not a pair I can wear all day. I've added moleskin padding (peel & stick blister protection material) on the underside of the buckle base. It's working, at least temporarily to create a soft layer between the top of my foot and the sandal. Not sure how long the fix will last.Adjustment tip: If you have to unbuckle the shoes to tighten or loosen, pinch the tip of the strap before pushing it through the loop. If you pinch to make the strap narrower (vs. shorter), I found it more easily slid out of the loop so I could unbuckle. Same for coaxing the strap back through the loop when adjustment is finished. Pinch the sides of the strap to make it narrower and it slides through the loop much easier.I haven't had these shoes long enough to comment on durability. I am hopeful that the rope molds to my foot over time, eliminating the slight rubbing issue described above. I like the rope, the gold buckles and the overall wide format. Great to slide into when I don't feel like lacing up sneakers.

Sorry but NOPE. Maybe I just got a bad pair, but I have no idea how these can fit anybody's feet. I will give two stars because the materials are a nice quality. The sole is thick and seems durable and supportive, and the braiding is soft and comfortable - not at all scratchy. They look pretty nice. BUT I'm a large woman who wears a size 11 shoe (actually a 10.5 wide - I've got big, thick, feet, but tend to go for an 11). I ordered these worried that like many shoes, they may be too small or narrow even at a size 11. These shoes are soooo big and floppy that my huge feet and floating in them and they just slip right off. The material also feels that it will stretch even bigger in a very short period of time. When I tighten the buckles as much as possible, still too big and floppy, AND the straps do not lay down at all - they literally point outward (which is bizarre since the material is so soft) like ears on your feet. So basically, what I have is a nice looking, comfortable, sandal that I cannot wear due to wildly incorrect sizing. That said, if you are someone that requires an even bigger shoe than I do or a truly wide/double-wide shoe, this might be just the ticket. If it didn't have the gold buckle, I'd pass along to my 6'2", 280 lb son who wears a size 13 shoe - I honestly think they might fit perfectly.
