The shoes fit okay and look decent once on. When they arrived I thought they looked cheap and poorly made. They will do well with certain outfits but will likely not be our go to shoe. If you like the more shiny patent leather kind of look then you will like these. They are thin and my son has not worn them enough to tell of they are comfortable.

Classic school-uniform loafer that balances softness with durability. The upper is genuine leather with a semi-matte finish that wipes clean easily. Stitching is neat and even, and the vamp strap sits flat so it doesn’t rub. The interior is lined and the insole has light cushioning; no blisters during break-in. Flex at the forefoot is excellent, which makes them comfortable for all-day classroom wear.The rubber outsole has fine siping for traction on tile and playground surfaces. Sizing in 4 Big Kid is true; there is enough toe room for a growth spurt without heel slip. Weight is light, which kids like. After a week of wear, creasing is minimal and the toe retains shape.What I’d improve: the insole is on the thinner side—easy fix with a replacement insert if your child needs more arch support. Cute, comfy shoe, heel is too loose to stay on
These loafers are super cute and my son was really excited that I ordered them and so excited when they arrived. They look cute, the soles are comfortable with the nub sole and they look fairly stylish despite being obviously not-leather, they are a cute faux leather alternative especially considering how quickly kids outgrow shoes.I cannot speak to how well they will hold up, I can update my review later and that is if my son is able to wear them at all--which is what brings me to the reason for my 3-star rating-- I'm not sure he can wear these at all due to the fact that the heel has so little structure and are so wide that they slip off his foot when walking.The shoe is the right size, the right length, his toe is the appropriate length from the end of the shoe--the heel/ankle normally would have a little more structure and hold to a person's foot not be so wide and slide right off. It is more extreme on the right shoe than the left, but both shoes have this defect. Perhaps every pair does not and you will get a pair that is more narrow in the heel at the opening.I have tried to shape them with clamps to see if this will help and he can wear them, then realized I might leave marks so placed a cloth over the shoe and replaced the clamps. I'm hoping it will help.They are comfortable, no complaints there, and they are stylish. If you have a wider heel/ankle or large bone structure this may not be an issue for you, in that case I can recommend. If you have a narrow foot in this aspect then I would pass or be aware it may be too loose as well.
