Beautiful boot but oversized to a fault and returning because they’re huge on my nephew’s foot. He wears and 11 or 11.5 so we ordered the 11.5. See photo. Order a size or size and a half down.

Fish out of water

The Dan Post Cutter Toe boot is my # 1 go to for a daily wear boot. The body in the D width is slightly bulkier than most other brands (which I like: keeps the jeans cuffs from hanging past the heal and dragging on the ground). This being my second pair with the pirarucu materials I’d have to say I have mixed reviews. The skin on the tan pair is not as refined as the grey pair (if your going for a rougher look choose the tan. If you looking for a smoother finish choose the grey) but the materials on the boot shaft of the grey pair is more stiff and will take a lot longer to break in. Also the boot pulls on the grey pair do not feature any of the pirarucu skin like the tan pair. But when they a listed on Amazon almost 200 bucks less than the retailers site how can you pass them up.

Nice boots

My first pair of Pirarucu's and I really like them. The throat/shaft of the boot is very narrow and may cause some difficulty getting it on ... it does for me. The leather is buttery soft like suede and it's initial softness, I feel makes it difficult to size. I normally wear a 10 or 10.5 in athletics like Vans. A 10E in dress shoes like Allen Edmonds. I had to size down to a 9.5 to feel any compression in the vamp without excessive heel lift. Once they have adjusted a bit, some thicker socks will have them fitting just right. They are stylish and look and feel of very nice quality materials. 4 stars instead of 5 for the narrow shaft.
