I have tap danced my whole life and started a class this week and the last minute realized I couldn’t find my tap shoes and quickly purchased these. I was a little bit leery because I’m pretty picky about my tap shoes. These were perfect, are super comfy and have a great sound! Highly recommend! I wear a sneaker size 7, and bought size 7 top shoes, and they fit perfectly.
These tap shoes fit great with plenty of toe room. They fit my daughter perfectly—she usually wears an 8.5 in women’s shoes. The quality material feels durable and should last through several students. This is actually the second pair I’ve bought because my kids’ feet grow as fast as weeds in my garden right now, haha! Definitely recommend these for growing dancers.
Shoe fits true to size. I'm a 9.5. It's a split-sole design and a little stiff for my comfort. I expected a little more movement in the shoe for my style. Taps sound good. I'm a heavy tapper. If you're an adult just starting out and you don't want to spend too much because you don't know if you'll stick with it, this is a good shoe. Plus, if it doesn't fit or you are just not happy tapping (although I don't know anyone who isn't happy when they're tapping) you can easily return it at no cost to you. You can get this shoe or similar elsewhere, but why? when shipping is free!
Simple and clean design. Mine had no smell out of the packaging. Laces were basic and a bit too short, so I will replace those with someone more substantial. But...a great tap shoe for under $20!!! Form fitting, fit true to natural women's shoe size, solid heel, and taps with screws that you can tighten/loosen to get the sound you need. Flexible arch, which I like, not a rigid sole.I haven't tapped in 20 years since college, and I am starting up again. These are perfect shoes to start, then buy $80 Capezio later if I stick with it.
THe price is great and these were a replacement pair, I don't tap very often, but the shoe fits great. I found the pair I lost and don't feel bad about ordering another. You can loosen the screws on the taps to get you a better sound from them.
I measured my foot and it was 9" exactly so I ordered a 6. It is at least a full size if not a size and a half too big. It looks like a nice shoe but feels cheap. Will be returning and not reordering.
