I've been wearing these almost every day for 6 months. They are super comfortable and tough. For the first week or so it was like walking on a cloud. They did break in and they became slightly less comfortable but wearing them all day is till great. I am a heavy guy with very flat feet and I recommend these to everyone
So if you are like me, you've probably been on YouTube trying to find more recent vids on this boot and really no one has put anything put there and that left you a lil skeptical. No worries, I took the five and here's my experience.So of you are like me, you probably been in the budget tact boot realm for a while. You've probably bought and tried multiple brands and fits and probably had to replace them often. I get it, we've all been there. I got tired of throwing money at boots that don't last like you hear other brands do. The thing with the budget brands, you get a glued upper to sole and components or materials that arent the quality of their more expensive competition. I did some research, threw out the old and started with a Timberland Boondock, and then seen these.Pros:-Made in the USA-Vibram sole-Goodyear welt-Full grain leather-True Vents-Toe and Heel protectors (personal favorite)-No break in requiredCons....but not really a con, more personal preference if anything:-I would say the fit. These boots do not need a break in period. Put your foot in it and lace am up and you are ready to rock. After walking around for a bit, it felt like a well built Converse. Sure it has that shank and a heel, but it feels a lil flat. But that's not a big problem for me because I add or replace the inner sole with a aftermarket one anyways because I have plantars and need the support. I wear a 10W and this boot after wearing it for a bit I could tell there is plenty of room just to slip another insole right on top and my foot won't feel cramped. If you want a snug fit get a half size smaller, but I don't recommend it. Just get your regular size and you'll be fine.

Just opened the box and examined the boots. New. Never used. But the boots were made 10 years ago. Oddly, I ordered a size 10. They sent a size 10 1/2. Sink me if they don’t fit like an examination glove. After I put orthotics in, I’ll put the boots through their paces. Who knows? I may upgrade my rating.
The boots are true to size and my first impression is that they are definitely in my top five boots of all time for backpacking comfort right out of the box and possibly my top two. The jury is still out since I do not know how long they may last, but I am impressed so far. I did add new arch support insoles, but I always do and they handled 60 lb rucks well.
They are very comfortable and lightweight.Great price.
