Great Upland Bird hunting boot
I got this boot and an Irish Setter boot with Prime wardrobe. The Irish Setter was a great boot, well built and all leather. Unfortunately, the toe was too tight for my foot. I needed a bigger toe box. The Danner sharptail was great. Very comfortable, plenty of toe room and quite light. I wore these around the house for a couple of days and it was clear that this was the boot I wanted for early season bird hunting. It is uninsulated so it will not be hot. I tried on some Crispi and Kenteck boots but was not too impressed for what I needed. Plus they cost twice as much. I haven't used these boots in the field yet but will report as soon as I do.

Great quality boot
These boots were pricey, but well worth it. They are well-made and very sturdy. They are billed as ‘hunting boots’, I do a lot of beach hiking in them, as I encounter water crossings that require waterproofing that goes up higher than a standard boot. These give at least 6 inches of waterproofness. I am still working these boots in so have yet to feel their true comfort. The toebox has plenty of room. They are a heavier boot, so give them time to adjust to your feet.

Typical well made Danners. A bit heavier than I’d like.
I have worn Danner hunting boots for many years. Quality products. Good materials. My older boots are serviceable but a bit shabby. And tend toward a smaller toe box when laced. This model is a noticeably heavier but the large square toe box is comfortable. I’ll need a few months to see how they hunt.

Very comfortable
