Danner makes the best boots!!!
I have been getting Danner boots for the last 8 years for my job as a Correctional Officer. They are the the most comfortable and durable. I made the mistake of getting a different brand a several months ago and only wore them a handful of times before going back to my old Danner's until our boot allowance reset for the year.The leather is sturdy but still flexible so it doesn't take too long too long to break them in. I almost always get the ones with the side zippers and only had the zipper break once after about 2 years of daily use.These boots are pretty much exactly like all the other pairs I have ordered. Very comfortable and reliable. I have worn them through plenty of snow drifts this season to attest to their water resistance.A great boot at a reasonable price.

Danner?
I wore these boots for a couple weeks and gave them 5 stars. Very comfortable and extremely light, exactly what I was looking for.After only 6 months the “ballistic mesh” is either worn through or torn in several places. I’m a security officer and though I wear them 8 hours a day 5 days a week I don’t put them through any kind of excessive wear and tear. I’ve worn Danner boots for 30+ years and the quality has gone into the crapper in the last 5 or so years. I’ll gladly pay $150 for a pair of good boots. Unfortunately these and the last pair of Danners I bought are worthless and a wast of money. I never thought I’d switch brands but sadly I am. The quality is gone, done with Danner.

Love them, only one drawback.
Although I do love these boots, they do break down rather quickly where the mesh is on sides of foot. Ends of getting holes and rips. Despite this one flaw, I love the size, shape and feel of these boots. I understand that when buying these I will eventually face the same issue.

Excellent fit, perfect for dry climates and indoor use. Very light weight and breathable. Boots run on the narrow side, so if foot is slightly on the wide side, order the wide. No issues after two months of daily use. Danner quality still there. Highly recommend!

Good boots with a short life span
I really want to give these boots a high review, because they honestly are some of the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I’m on my feet all day long- I walk at least 7 miles a day while on the job. My feet felt great in these boots, and they breathed fantastically! Unfortunately the mesh sides which makes them so breathable are complete trash. I’ve owned these boots about 3 months and both the left, and right boot have holes in them- sad. If it came to it, I would sacrifice the breathing ability of these boots for more durability. I really do love these boots- but I can’t work with boots that have holes in them.
