Absolutely the best hiking shoe!

Such a great looking pair of shoes and extremely comfortable. I’ve tried many different brands of these kind of shoes, but I finally found one that really fits all requirements I wanted for light hiking and long city walks on cobble stones. I sized up 1/2 inch and I’m glad I did. I’ll be confident to wear these for all terrain and any weather pretty much except for very cold or very snowy weather. It feels very durable and reliable. I think I’ll be buying only Danner shoes from now on.

BEST! BEST! BEST!

OMG all day! I love, love, love these shoes. They are especially great on my narrow feet but more than that, they support my high arches, never gave me a blister and I wear them to do everything, hiking (even through streams), trail running, disc golfing, camping, etc. I've worn the heck out of them and they clean up like brand new everything. I may eventually have one of every color in my closet in the near future!

Go Danner!

I am a huge fan of Danner work boots as I have a wide foot and narrow heal and they have always worked for me and last forever. I am a field biologist and just broke out my 3rd pair of work boots. Bought 1st pair in 1996 second in 2006. Because the work boots fit my foot so well, I turned to Danner for a light weight hiking shoe and was excited when I recieved these. These shoes met the positive reviews. Were comfortable the minute i put them on, felt better than my Merrills and are wellmade. They felt a little flat for my arches and if I had not had otger issues would have put different insert in to solve rhat. My unfortunate problem is that I had the same problem I have had with all hiking shoes: my heal slid causing instant hotspot and without moleskin would have been huge blisters;but I think this is an issue of my foot and not the shoe! Which is why I am giving 4 stars. I would also say that if you are closer to a 9 1/2 you will find this shoe a little on the small side. I went on a 9 mi hike and only had problems with my heal. Unfortunately cant return as shoe is now dirty. Looking at Danner hiking boots too see if will solve heal-slip problem.

Awesome

Best fitting shoe I have had in years. Very comfortable.I will not wear any other Hiker/Sneaker. owned mine for 2yrs. Flat feet and narrow heal. This pair was bought for my sister who has had nothing but trouble with hiking shoes. She is 6' tall has had a full knee replacement and needs to wear a lift in one shoe. Never been ableto find a true fit (size11) that the lift fit properly in and her feet are not killing her by the end of the day. OMG, She loves these. Works outside, hikes plays with her dogs. I can not say enough about these shoes. As for the narrow fit, My foot is not at all narrow and having flat feet, my foot spreads out in a shoe, these fit so well I can wear them with the laces undone and they don't move. Love, Love ,Love them...

Mixed feelings!

I want to give these 5 stars because they are really comfortable (perfect for wide feet) and have a great grip on rocky terrain. They also felt stable for a shoe that’s basically a hiking sneaker. The only downside is that they aren’t very durable and are fraying after less than 2 weeks of use. I’m tempted to try a replacement pair because I really want to like these, but they’re my first pair of Danners so maybe this is normal for the brand. I wore my Altra sneakers on similar terrain for close to a year before ankle started fraying in the same spot.

Runs really small

For some reason, the GTX version of this shoe is VERY small/narrow. Sadly, I need to return it and cannot use it for my upcoming vacation.

Brilliant design, well made!

Most comfortable shoes I've gotten in years. Toe box is wide enough, heel is narrow enough, heel back is low enough. 7 hole laces provide great support. Excellent cushioning. Feet feel supported. Not clunky looking.
