Being a police officer I have to have top quality.equipment. Danner boots are the best. Working 12 to14 hour 6days a week I need a comfortable boot.My last pair of boots have lasted eight years. They still look good, the soles have worn out and I refuse to be without my Danners until they are repaired. Thank you for the workmanship and quaility of your boots.

Nice looking

Boots are ice looking but definitely not to be in an 8 or plus shift. Pinch at the the ankles. Somewhat hard. Returned item.

Sizing off

Honest review. I have slightly wide feet. These are narrow boots. I ordered a 6 only for them to be huge. I read a review saying they run almost a full size large, so I ordered a 5. The 5 was way too small. However I have a slightly larger right foot. So if you have even slightly wide feet it could work by sizing down only a 1/2 size. I wound up ordering a 5.5 and they have room for my feet to move. However the left foot is a little bigger and I need insoles. I think ordering only a 1/2 size is best. Great boot.

Great boot.

Comfortable and well made. I wear them for police work and I don't have to worry about going through muck or water. They clean right up and are ready to go. They are easily polished if this is important to you. Boots fit narrow and I had to stretch out the area at the ball of the foot. They fit between a half to a whole size larger. I consistently wear size 8.5 and have size 8, but would try 7.5 if re-ordering at this point. I would suggest that you order from the men's model if this is within your size range to get the extra width. It would be nice if Danner made a wide in the women's boot. I would have rated them higher if the sizing was better.

I Love Danner Boots

I've had Danner boots in the past for wild land firefighting. I purchased the Acadia as my duty boot as a sheriff's deputy. I was a bit surprised when they arrived as they looked huge, but they fit perfect once I put them on. While they feel a bit heavy compared to some other brands, they are very well built, rugged, and look great under uniform. Comfortable for extended periods of time. Water proof, and hopefully they will be warm through the winter.

Painful

I wanted to love these boots so badly, but after wearing them for 12+ hours every day for the last three weeks they just continued to hurt so badly that I could not continue. They hurt the top of my toes and rubbed very hard, had to return them.

Very narrow

This is highly recommended for ems workers, so I decided to try it out. I have normal width feet, and these boots are extremely tight. I returned and tried the men’s Acadia and it was way better. Decided to go with Danner instinct boot however, as it had the comfort of wearing tennis shoes.
