Comfortable

They are not the cutest shoes but they are very comfortable. There is a springy feeling when walking, love the arch support. I have been wearing these for three weeks now. My feet and knees have not hurt while wearing them, even after my 15 hr days

Podiatrists should know about these clogs

I saw the podiatrist a few weeks ago about a foot problem in an area around where I'd had surgery eons ago. I expected her to recommend ugly, expensive shoes and orthotics. She was a lot more practical, and suggested a few different big brands' recovery slides. "Perfect!," I thought. I work from home, and my reality aligns with simple, comfortable choices I won't mind wearing around indoors, or out to walk the dog.Two pairs of big-brand slides later, I saw the Danoo slides and clogs. Their product photos and descriptions suggested they'd provide good support in the metatarsal area (my problem area)—something I hadn't realized was missing from the big-brand slides. The Danoos are designed with a gentle bump in just the right place (see the photo I uploaded).I had returned the first pair of slides, because the top/side pushed my little toe into the next. I don't have wide feet or bunions. I kept the second pair, and wore them daily. They've been kinder to my feet/legs than the flip flops I'd previously walked around in. But I don't like the slick feel of the footbed and top strap. And (I know now) they're not doing anything to help the ball/metatarsal area.Since I now had an OK pair of pricey slides, I decided to try the Danoo clogs. I wish I (or my podiatrist) had known about Danoo. I might have started here. They're not inexpensive, but their price points are considerably less than more well-known brands. Their product (based only on these clogs, I admit) is better than the three brands I've tried. The clogs arrived yesterday and I've been wearing them since. They are comfortable and supportive in both metatarsal and heel areas. They aren't super squishy like my other-brand slides—they've got just the right amount of give. The footbed feels nice. Not slick. There's texture in key areas, and the density of the main material used (EVA foam, I think) is just right. Nothing looks cute on a foot as big as mine, but because they're wider they deemphasize how long my foot really is. I'll take it :PThere is a potential downside for those of us who would usually order a half size. These clogs are only available in whole sizes, so I rounded up. They're perfect for walking around inside and on other even surfaces, but without socks they fit more loosely than I like for walking with my dog up stairs or in grassy/rocky areas around my apartment complex.I'd like to try the next size down, but for now the Danoos will be my go-to indoor shoes. In a couple months when it cools down enough to wear socks, I'll wear them everywhere.

Among the most comfortable clogs I've tried on my "problem feet"

Danoo Healing Max M1 Unisex Lightweight Clog & Mule—I ordered two pairs of shoes from Danoo, a Korean footwear company, both advertised to be good for people with foot issues or who need super-comfortable work shoes (medical, restaurant). In addition to these clogs, I ordered a pair of open toe slides. I will start my review by quoting from my review for the slides:My feet hurt a lot, mainly in the metatarsal head (ball of foot) area. I also have weak arches, toe arthritis and and nerve damage. I discovered "recovery" shoes and sandals in the last few years and I love them. I have tried several brands, from high end, over $100 brands to cheaper knock-offs. These Korean recovery slide sandals are in the middle of the price range, but definitely on the top of the comfort range. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the design. The arch support is just right for me (but those who like super high, firm arches might not agree). My first thought was that the insoles were firm, maybe too much so, because I like cushiness. But after wearing them for a while, I realized that the firmness has a nice degree of elasticity or "give" so that the insoles support while providing protective padding. I'm most pleased with the feel of the metatarsal head area; they are the first recovery shoes that actually feel like they are decreasing pressure there. While I find both pairs of shoes to be very comfortable for the reasons cited, the slides are considerably more so for me. Oh wait, stop the presses! I just double-checked the size printed on each pair and I received a men's size 8 instead of 9 in the clogs! They are unisex and I ordered size W11/9M in both. I was about to say that my toes rub on the ends of the clogs but I have extra room in the slides, and now I know why. The clogs aren't forgiving in the smaller size because there is a tab on the heel to help keep them on. Also, because my feet feel constricted in the smaller size the plastic feels more sticky.A small difference between the styles is that the little cushion insert under the calcaneus (heel bone) is more pronounced in the clogs than in the slides. I don't have heel pain at present, so I can't evaluate how good it is for that, but it feels nice and padded. Both styles have tread made of more small hexagons and they provide good traction on our smooth floor. Thanks to receiving the wrong size in the clogs, I can say that the sizing is accurate. I usually wear a 10½ or 11 women's (size 41 or 42 European) and the W11/M9 in these is a tad long while the W10/M8 is a tad short. The size chart on the product page on Amazon is accurate and very helpful. At the time I ordered the clogs were available in very limited colors: Gray, Cream White and Black. I would likely purchase a pair in the correct size if more interesting colors were offered: purple is a favorite, or any blue-green shade. The price is reasonable for such well-designed comfort shoes. I have more expensive pairs that aren't as comfortable.

run large, great for wide feet

These ran large in size for me as shown in photo. I have narrow sz 9 feet and these were wide and fit more like a 10-10.5.I'm going to compare these to Aetrex and Crocs.I feel like the sizing runs about the same as Crocs. However, these have so much more support with lil comfy raised areas inside to hit all the right spots of my foot. I wish these had as many ventilation holes as Crocs since in our current climate they're not as breathable as Crocs. I understand more ventilation might not be ideal in the hospital environment that these are made for.Aetrex have been my go to for awhile now. These have a more supportive sole with less bounciness than Aetrex has. These are made with exceptional quality. I was very impressed with the materials and feel. They've been slip resistant as described. They're very supportive to my high instep, stabilizes my gait, while also providing shock absorption.I've never heard of this brand before and felt apprehensive about the price ($70) at the time I chose these. However, I feel like podiatrists would recommend them if they had knowledge of the brand. I'm currently suffering from gout and these have made walking more comfortable.
