Pro dancer with torn lateral co-lateral

Hi, I'm a pro dancer and among many many other injuries, I have a torn lateral co-lateral ligament in my left foot. PAIN! So here I am starring in an original production with the Independent Shakespeare Co in Los Angeles, CA called Anita Berber Is Dead. I have 12 dances and 5 are solos. Barefoot, expressionist (modern/contemporary) style. Just so you know, my physical therapist and I moved from strengthening to pain management about four months ago because ... the foot isn't healing in the two years we've been working together (did stem cell and everything). Anyway, in our pain management, she gave me a new way to wrap my foot, using athletic tape to keep my bones together where my ligament no longer does the job. It helped! A ton! But would roll up and come off while I was dancing barefoot. So I got these dance pads here to place over the balls of my feet (where the athletic tape seam is) and I danced 10 serious shows and these things are high-quality and did exactly what I'd hoped they would! Also, please note that not only am I a professional, adult dancer, making my living this way and dancing like it, but in this particular show, there was also one blood dance and every single night I had to take the pads home and wash them. They stood up to my dancing and nightly washing wonderfully. One little rhinestone came off. I'm serious. Just one. The stitching has stayed steadfast. The pads are strong. They were comfortable. I wear a street shoe of 7.5 and purchased Medium, which fit perfectly. Highly recommended!

Perfect for dancing barefoot

I bought the Tan with Rhinestones for $19.95 on Amazon. I read the reviews beforehand which said that they run small and purchased a medium since I wear a 6.5 US size shoe. They fit almost perfectly, so it is true that they run small. The medium is just a tad bit big and so I have to pull on them every once in a while because they slip down but I think if I went any smaller they would be too small. But it's not the big of a deal and they have great grip and make it much easier to move around on my toes. I use them for pole fitness because I don't like wearing heels and they work great! The rhinestones are cute and subtle. I might buy more in a different color!

Love the sturdy construction and firmly attached rhinestones. I am an adult shoe size 7, narrow, and at first these were uncomfortably *tight* across the toe base area. After trying to "break them in" around the house, I tried stretching them *over* the outside of clean leather pumps for a couple days, and it seemed to relax the constriction. A week later I wore them in performance and they looked and felt fine. Will try to attach picture, sorry may not be sharp
