A great quality shoe and fasionable to boot.

These are definitely a different model than some of the heavier "hiking" shoes. These are super lightweight and maybe more appropriate for warm weather, but they still have that Dansko traction. I have 2 other pairs of heavier shoes and in the 7.5-8 sizing, and they fit a bit snugger than these do, however, the draw string tightens them as much or as little as you need depending on whether you're wearing a heavy or thin sock or nothing at all. I'm very pleased with all of my Dansko purchases. Note that these are significantly less expensive than the heavier models.

Dansko Sandal

This sandal/shoe offers the excellent support I was hoping for, especially important for someone with narrow feet like me. I appreciate being able to cinch them for a snug yet comfortable fit—that was the main reason I purchased them.However, the downside is the noise they make when walking: squeaky, squishy, and clomping sounds that are pretty noticeable indoors. I suspect the non-slip sole, which seems designed for rugged outdoor terrain, might be the reason. I plan to test that theory soon on a mountain hike.Also worth noting—the upper material looks more man-made than genuine leather, and that might be contributing to the noise as well. Overall, great performance and support, but not the quietest option for indoor use.

Bought these to replace a style of walking shoe that Dansko no longer makes. These fit the bill and were perfect for the winter and rain. Nice leather and great soles. Actually much sturdier than my old pair as well. Of course very comfortable!

All weather walking? Don’t even bother.

Lured by the price and the brand, I bought these waterproof shoes to replace the rubber boots I wear when it’s raining on my daily walk. However, the design of the shoe completely defeats the purpose. Maybe they’re good for walking in puddles, but definitely wrong for walking when precipitation is falling from the sky. I’m sure the fit was great, but the second I saw these perforations in the top part of the shoe I put them right back in the box. I’ll keep looking for functional waterproof walking shoes.
