The leather is soft. The heel is just high enough and sturdy. I almost want to buy other colors because I don't want to decide not to make them anymore. They are also pretty stylish, which is strange because I don't think that about their clogs. The clogs comfortable, but utilititarian, where as these you can wear with your shorts, jeans, casual dress, etc.
