I'm 76. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had! My feet are always aching but I can walk and stand for a good while with these shoes. I have flat feet but these shoes have good arch support. This is the third pair I've owned. I like that they are not a tie shoe either. They are easy to put on and off. Lastly, I like that they don't cost a ridiculous price like some popular shoes nowadays.
I do a lot of landscaping and gardening work and was looking for something supportive like sneakers, water resistant like boots, lightweight like wearing sandals and easy to get on and off. I searched a lot, used AI to get suggestions, and finally landed on these sneakers. They're expensive but I've had Dansko dress shoes I loved, and thought they'd fill the bill. I was right - they are perfect. I keep them at the back door so I can easily slip them on - they're actually very comfortable even barefoot. The bungee/toggle is great because I can set the tightness and they don't untie - if my feet get hot or swollen, I can loosen them right up and keep truckin'. I've spilled water on them and my feet stay dry, and the treads are very light so I don't track a lot of dirt. That said, they're super contoured and lightweight and have a nice grippy sole. I believe they're machine washable, so when they get totally disgusting I can give them new life. Yesterday I wore these for 9 hours on my feet hauling mulch and weeding and combined with a pair of light weight ankle socks with some compression, my feet never hurt all day which is a miracle. I didn't even need to break them in first - just went right out the door and they were perfect for this use. And if i want to take a walk without changing my footwear, they're ready to go. Good stuff.
I have the blue pair of Dansko Henriette. They're super sporty looking and quite slim.I'm usually a women's size 6.5 to 7, though I tend to get a 7 to put in a thin spongy insert to help with long hours on my feet.I ordered 7.5 to 8 (38) in these and the fit is great out of the box, both in thin socks or barefoot. The insoles are padded, but not cloud-like memory foam padding.Not much breaking in is needed. These are my go-to shoes for any occasion! I work 12+ hours a day and, when paired with an extra arch support insole, these help me keep going week after week! I’ve ordered three pairs for myself so far, and each pair lasts roughly 2 years. Must mention that they look absolutely fantastic! I’ve had coworkers ask me where I get these shoes! I do have to break them in for a week or so of continuous wearing when I first get the shoes. They are a bit snug, but fit my feet well and the bungee string is wonderful! Will be ordering more in the future!
I am typically an avid dansko fan! However, this shoe is the worst thing I’ve ever worn. The arch support is lacking. The “tongue” hurts all the time even after loosening. These were delivered to me on May 27th, and it’s now July 19th. I wear these for clinical shifts. Where the shoe bends, it’s pinching my skin even through thick socks. One side of my foot is cut and the other is forming a blood blister from pinching. I continued used after the first cut thinking it must’ve been a bite. However, this second blister will have me not wearing them again. Shame, because dansko brand has always been my favorite and they’re cute…
:-( the top of the left shoe hits a vein in my foot that makes it very uncomforatable, I've loosened the shoe as much as I can stand, but no relief. I've only worn them 3 times, so I'll be donating them
