I bought these same shoes ten years ago, so when they finally wore out I had to get them again. They are comfortable, sturdy and nice looking. Pay attention to the sizing, I wear a 7 1/2 in American sizes so I got a 38 European. They are the perfect work shoe if you are on your feet a lot.. They are wide around the heel but the won't fall off because the rest of the shoe is quite snug. I love them!!
I work as a special needs paraprofessional educator. I'm on my feet all day and have to walk a lot. These helped my feet, ankles and knees so much. No foot pain at the end of the day. The shoe is heavy, but well made and durable. I got the black leather and they go with slacks or for jean Friday.
THESE SHOES ARE SO COMFY. I was a true skeptic before owning these. I thought the insole was more important than the shoe itself. I went from a job that I’m sitting 8 hours a day to one where I’m standing without a break for 12+ hours 6 days a week. My feet were killing me. I could barely walk on them at the end of the night they hurt so much. I purchased expensive running shoes and 100$ insoles and PT tape and a foot massager and took to NSAIDs just to get me through the day, and these things helped... until the 8-10 hour mark when it once again started to feel like I was walking on bruises.Enter these danskos. Holy hell. From the second I put them on I instantly felt better. The following day I wore them to work and I wouldn’t even think twice about my feet until I went to take my shoes off 14 hours later. The following day I decided to untape my feet and remove the expensive insoles and my feet still felt amazing. I thought maybe my feet had just gotten used to standing so long so I tried to go back to running shoes one day (it’s the scientist in me. I just had to experiment) and I returned to aching, throbbing feet. I tried to put the dansko insoles into another pair of my shoes and nope. I don’t know what kind of magic they sew into these things but I am a total convert. No wonder all of my doctor and nurse friends swear by these. Wow.The one and only downside I have discovered after wearing these daily for 3 months now is the fact it’s super easy to roll your ankle. The platforms are high and the ankle support is minimal. I would be walking on a flat even surface and I would trip and roll my ankle to the side. I never got injured and maybe I’m just clumsier and less center-balanced than most but it is a serious consideration. I wouldn’t want to run in these. I’m sure I could but the ankle rolling incidence rate would surely sky rocket.I did try out both the original and the professional 2.0 danskos and preferred the latter for the better ankle support and the ability to replace the insole if need be. Now if only I could find a pair of these in a doc martens style boot and I will never take them off.
I bought these shoes several months ago for work. I'm a nurse aide and on my feet a lot. The shoes are nice looking and fit well. My only issue with them is that they are inflexible. The ball of the foot does not bend like a normal tennis shoe would, so my legs were sore for a couple of days until I got used to walking in them. Also, the leather of the shoe is more of a matte finish, which I prefer over the shinier shoes, but it does show smudges a little more. Wiping them down with a damp cloth has always gotten them clean for me.
These Dansko clogs allow me to be on my feet for 12+ hours without pain and discomfort in my lower back.They are sturdy, long wearing, and can be worn without socks if you prefer. I have a high instep so I order one size up from my normal shoe size to compensate for that. Because I do that, they do not feel tight on the top of my feet. These shoes are an invaluable purchase if you work long hours on your feet or just want a sturdy clog to wear with everything. I've worn Dansko clogs for 12+ years and these are my 10th pair. I like to buy them in different colors. My favorite is the oiled leather. They last for years and are an excellent value. I wear them year round.
I love Dansko but these were too tight. I haven't owned a pair since my twenties and since I'm now 40 and experiencing plantar fasciitis I thought these would help a lot. However, my feet swell now that I'm in my forties and I tried wearing them a week to see if I could stretch out the leather but after a week of my feet hurting, I decided to send them back and order a wider pair. Hopefully the new pair will fit better.
Perfect for people who suffer from plantar fasciitis like myself. I would recommend trying them on in a store and then ordering online once you know how they fit and feel on your feet. I've worn these daily for several months now and can not notice any huge signs or wear or tear, they are holding up very well. Still feel and look "new" but they do break in after 2-3 wearings.
