For some reason, Dansko now seems to feel that all women's feet are the size of a very large sausage. There is no way to reduce the size of the footbed. I've also tried them on in-person at stores, and they are the same. Even the clerk said that all of their shoes are huge. too bad. so sad.
This review is for size 38 Black Margaret. Dansko shoes fit my slightly wide, low arch feet perfectly, which is why I’ve been wearing them for 30+ years. LOL that’s a lot of shoes.These loafer clogs are very cute, easy to slip into and just the ticket for a cute, stable (no-slip rubber outer-sole), low heel look. I like the suede wrap around the heel which makes it easy to dress up. I’m 70 and was looking for a low heel, non- slip, solid contact shoe and I’m happy to say this is that shoe!I did not have the issues that the other reviewers noted. I have always worn size 38 in Dansko, and this pair fit just as I expected. I have not noticed any marks on the leather that a regular polish/buff won’t remove. (You do condition and polish your better shoes- right??!! hee hee hee)Also, and this is important to note....Dansko clogs are DESIGNED for the heel to move up and down freely when you walk. In a closed clog, you should have about a finger width behind your heel and shoe for a good fit. They are not slipping. However, if you are not accustomed to this clog design/fit, it might take a minute to adjust. It’s a great shoe design that has proven successful over the years. Obviously I’m a fan!I’m back today to order a second pair in the brown.
I ordered the same shoe size I wear in other Dansko shoes and this pair slides right off my heals. Very disappointed.
