Great Booties

Go a size up. I wear a 9 1/2 (sometimes wide) mens, so I originally ordered the Medium. Big nope. I barely got my foot in and it was tight all around. I exchanged them for a size Large. They fit great. Comfy without socks and can accommodate thick socks, if needed. I'm diabetic and have peripheral neuropathy. My feet get cold and it gets pretty painful. These are toasty warm without socks. I chose these because of the soft sole so I could wear them on the couch. The sole cushion isn't much. To me, it's like a double layer of super thick socks. I wanted them in black, but I'm not trying to win a beauty contest with them, so the blue will do. They're a little darker than the product photos, so there's that.

Comfy and warm

Comfortable and warm. I've worn out a pair 5 or 6 yrs ago so this was a replacement. I love them and wear them quite often

Warm and comfortable

I wore slippers like these growing up and they were easy to find and readily available. In recent years they’ve become very hard to find so I was thrilled that Dearfoams had them. I read some negative reviews but some were about the noise they made on non-carpeted surfaces or the noise of the outer material. Some were about durability. Nearly all said they were warm and comfortable. And that is what stands out to me now that I’m wearing them. For the first time in several years, my feet are warm and comfortable. These slippers go up just far enough to cover the ankle. I’m one of those people that if my ankles are cold, my feet stay freezing. The sole is a comfortable memory foam with a leather-like material on the outside. Sturdy enough to be a barrier on cold floors, not so sturdy that you feel like you have a solid-soled shoe on your foot.I’m extremely pleased with these so far. Time will tell how well they hold up, but I wear my slippers more than any other footwear I own, so if they’re going to break down, I’ll know sooner rather than later and can update this post.

Bought them again

I have Reynaud's disease (white, not blue). My house is over 100 years old, has a crawl space underneath, and is in the Minneapolis area. So it gets pretty cold in my house January-February.If you're looking at these, you may have noticed how rare it is to find slippers with soft (not rubber) soles. For any price. The flooring in my house (as in many houses) is a mix of linoleum, tile, and carpet. Rubber soles are harsh on the carpet and furniture.I had a bad experience with some rubber sole Dearfoams before (soles fell apart VERY quickly), but I took a chance on these due to very limited choice and low price. While not perfect, I have been fairly satisfied with them.I'm size 11. I bought XL (13-14) to have extra space for medium/thick wool socks and electric warmers, and the fit is pretty much perfect. After 10 months, they are fairly worn. But I feel like I got my money's worth, so I bought them again. I'll probably still keep an eye out for something else though. Wouldn't hurt to have some variety and maybe find something even better.I recommend them.

Odd sizing for me (10.5 shoe)

Had bought a size large pair last year due to reviews saying they ran small. My feet swim in them. Tolerable, if I wear really thick winter socks. However, I really wanted a pair that I could wear without socks. Bought a medium earlier this year and sent them back as they were extremely tight. Seems like sizes aren't consistent, do decided to try again and ordered another size medium. These are snug, borderline too tight, but I am ok with them. My size, 10.5 is right in between the medium (9-10) and large (11-12), so it's a crap shoot which one to get. Rated in the middle because it's a decent slipper/bootie, just an issue with sizing

Really Nice, But Sizing Is Way Off

These are very comfortable and attractive slippers--soft fleece interior, quilted blue exterior, with a flexible leather sole. Since that is what I was looking for, I'm quite happy. I wouldn't count on the soft leather of the sole to hold up on a pavement, as it's not very thick. If you are looking for something for both indoor and outdoor use, these might be too light weight. For me, the soft leather sole makes these slippers very comfortable and adaptable, and I didn't want a rigid sole. I'm hoping they will last if used only indoors. My main quibble is the sizing which, to me, seems to run very small. I had to send back my first order. I am a Men's 9 in US sizing. I have never needed anything larger in shoes or sneakers, so I should have fit into a Medium in these slippers, which are for sizes 9-10. Instead, I needed a Large, intended for size 11-12, and even with that, the fit is just right with no extra room. I'm happy with the purchase now, but it would have saved a lot of time and annoyance if Dearfoams had gotten its sizes right.

Selling Returns/Defectives as New!

OK, I'm officially disgusted with Amazon passing returned products as NEW! I initially ordered a pair of gray Bootie Slippers for my husband. They came in an original shoe box, wrapped in tissue with all the identifying markers--undoubtedly new. Since he found them quite comfortable and warm, I wanted him to have a second pair in black. My excitement upon their arrival was quickly quelled when this pair came in the familiar plastic bag from Amazon Warehouse. Buying rejected items to save money is fine if that was my decision to do so, but I purchased NEW slippers. I quickly discovered this pair of slippers were defective hence their return. So, I'm returning the second pair of slippers and, in the meantime, I decided to order a third pair from Amazon but discovered the price for a black pair had been jacked by $12 more. Ok...I ordered a blue pair instead. The Amazon cargo box just arrived containing the new pair of blue slippers. Oops...wait the blue pair did not come in the original factory shoe box either but, once again, in a plastic bag. Sigh...defective, a return, not new, again. Amazon, I will not pay for an item I order as NEW and accept a return instead. That is a deceptive practice.
