pretty good Houseperson shoes...
Dearfoams Men's Knox Collapse Back Lightweight Slip on Sneaker (11, Bone)...I haven't had a pair of Dearfoams in awhile and I needed some houseboy (houseperson) around the house shoes. My usual and control group for comparison are my trusty Crocs.++These Dearfoams are comfier than I expected. They are very pillowy and floaty as I walk around. It's kinda like your feet are ensconced in velvety pillows.++They are pretty true to size for me. I'm a size men 11 in Nike and the 11 in these Dearfoams is comfy -- a tad tad on the loosey side which is fine.++They seem like they are nicely constructed. The materials are softer around-the-house materials. The Dearfoams are actually more comfy than my Crocs, but ultimately my nod goes to the Crocs mainly for the open back heel.At current price of ~$78, these DF's are pretty good Houseperson shoes if you are in the market. 4-STAR rating by me in consideration of price/value/choices.

lightweight and easy on
My feet are 10.5 wide so I ordered size 11 and they fit nicely with a little extra room all around. The styling is as you see in the pics - they look a little boat-like to me. They look and feel like a cross between slippers and shoes. They are super lightweight and absorb impact very well. If you collapse the back you do feel it under your heel but I guess that will wear softer over time. The back is very stretchy so I have been pulling up the back instead of collapsing it. I like how easy they are to slide on and the back is easy to pull up if you choose.

Not sure of point of collapsible back
These shoes are very comfortable and I'm using them as house shoes but not sure I'd wear them outside much because the collapsible back makes them loose fitting. If I had to suddenly run across the street to make the light, I wouldn't feel sure-footed. Of course, compared to flip flops or most sandals, these would be better to make that light as the sole grips nicely so really it's up to the individual. I'm not one to wear flip flops when running errands. I also found that wearing socks with these helped, as the collapsible back made them loose-fitting. And I do like that they can go in the washing machine. But that collapsible back means you have to stick your finger in the back to get them on ( I found wearing them with my foot over the back uncomfortable) so I prefer my Skechers which I can easily slip my foot in and give me more support.

Love the Collapse Back
I'm all about slip-on shoes and loved the idea of the back of the shoe that collapses. They work just as well as shoes to slip on for quick trips outside in the winter as they do for wearing all day. For me, I think they are just a little too bulky for wearing all day but they are great as ones to quickly slip on for taking the dogs out or taking the trash to the curb.I am a solid 10.5 so I ordered an 11 because these don't come in half sizes. I should have gone down instead of up with these. I now see that Amazon says that a 10 would have been the right size for me.Overall reasonably happy with the "Dearfoams Men's Knox Collapse Back Lightweight Slip on Sneaker".

Nice slip in sneakers
Dearfoams Men's Knox Collapse Back Lightweight Slip on SneakerI’m using these as around the apartment slippers. They are comfortable and keep my feet warm without over heating them. They slip on easily but I need to adjust the back to snug it to my heel. I’ve had slippers that are just slip in and the grab your foot, these need an assist. That said I like them and have been wearing them for awhile now. They seem durable and are from a brand I know and trust. The fit to my size well. I do recommend them.

Uncomfortable around my ankle, quilted upper is a weird choice
I don't love these and will probably only use them when I have to take out the garbage and my other shoes are upstairs. The opening is strangely small for a size 13 shoe and is uncomfortable on my ankles, cutting off circulation The quilted upper is rather strange looking. It's hard to see in the photos online, I hope I captured the look better in the photo attached. It's a weird pattern, just doesn't feel very sneaker-like. It's more like a slipper -- that sort of material. The sole is very slick. I can slide on carpet with these, which is crazy. I do not recommend these sneakers unless you are truly looking for an occasional shoe to use in the garden.

A little odd looking in person
I guess I wasn't prepared for how these would look "in-hand," The quilted finish is a bit different, but coupled with the speckled sole I'm just not sure that I'm a fan. They are, indeed, quite lightweight. But they are not, for me, as comfortable as I would have expected. This could be due to the fact that I have very slight arches (code for "flat feet"). These feel "okay" to me, but not "great." I had expected "great" - perhaps I just need to wear them around for a bit for a fairer assessment. Once I do so if my opinion changes I will return and update this review. I'm not saying "steer clear of these." It's just that my initial impression was not one of being "wowed," which is the impression I expect from this brand.
