Very comfortable! Perfect fit. Maybe a little less value than seems to be implied.
Ok, shoes are HARD to get a proper fit because feet are so weird. (But size shouldn't be that hard.) I'm an 8-1/2 based on the length of my foot, and I'm a little wide. 9 is always my go-to. Out of the box, these slippers fit comfortably -- properly snug to not slip around, but not too snug to start to feel tight. After wearing them only a few times briefly they are less snug and I can feel a little slipping of my foot. So I think the shearling is not as plush as I've had in the past. Leather will conform to your foot, so it's important to get the right size to start with.So these are genuine shearling and suede slippers. But, I don't believe that the shearling lining is actually grown from and attached to the suede outer. There is a visible seam in the tongue where you can see a cloth layer between the shearling and the suede. Maybe that's why these are less expensive. I don't know if they will be as sturdy as my old, worn out (more expensive) shearling slippers. But comfort and genuine leather are important in the fit of shoes and slippers.

Just bought my second pair
The brown pair I bought two years ago. The purple are new today. After daily wear in New England winters and a half dozen camping trip’s worth of abuse the brown ones finally feel too scuzzy to be cozy at home, but I’m still saving them for camping. The old ones have no holes, and the shearing is matted but still soft and warm. The new ones are a really nice shade of dark purple. The floof inside does compress and shed early on, but it doesn’t wear out like I worried it might initially. Great value for money. Wish some of my regular shoes wore this well! The thread on one did seem to come a little unraveled early on, a) but it never actually broke or frayed more b)I sized down a half size for extra coziness. These are pretty forgiving and seem to stretch out over time, which makes sense given the materials. They are def things to keep your feet warm—my husband saves his for very cold days, but he grew up in rural Maine.

A slipper that prevents you from slipping.
One of the issues I have with slippers is that they tend to fall off my feet, which often makes me fall. These mocking style slippers have great traction and do not fall off my feet making them very good at doing their job. They’re comfortable and very dark purple. I would buy these again.

good quality, runs large
Excellent quality. The lining is soft and warm and the tread has great traction. They do run large though - recipient wears a standard size 6 but can still fit a finger easily behind the heel inside the slipper, and their heels lift out easily when walking. If you're on the lower end of the size range, I'd buy the next size down - especially since they are leather and will stretch with time.

Issue with sole and heel
This was the right size (length), but I had to pry my feet into each slipper. A bit too snug for me, although comfortable. Nice fur. However, the problem was the sole of the moccasin. I wish it had been pictured on the site. The sole is kind of narrow and especially at the heel. The heel is pretty small and not real supportive, and the edges of the moccasin hung over the sides of the sole when my feet were in the shoe. This made walking unstable for me. My heel kept slipping to the side and I felt like I was going to roll my ankle. So I had to return it. The return was very efficient. This may be a good shoe for other people but it didn't work for me.

Finally - a slipper that's comfortable and fits!
Finally! I've been looking for a shearing slipper to replace my 5 year old EMU's (I don't and can't wear uggs). I gave up last year after a number of tries and returns. I didn't realize that Deerfoams made a true shearling slipper but thought I'd give this a try. I have a wide toe box but narrow heel and every slipper that i could get my foot in to just was to wide in the back and I walk right out of them - and that's before the shearling mats down over time. I don't feel the need to pay over $100 for a popular name and still made in China. I just want a comfortable slipper and these were reasonably priced and seem to be very good quality. Warning - IF you find similar slippers for under $50, you must carefully read comments and fine print (you won't good quality at that price point).
