Stylish but not as comfortable as expected
These DKNY platform loafers look amazing — sleek design, nice height, and definitely a statement shoe. They feel well-made and the leather has a premium look, but comfort-wise they didn’t live up to the style.The fit feels a bit stiff, especially around the top of the foot, and they need some breaking in. After a couple of hours, the firmness of the sole becomes noticeable. I am a consistent US 7.5 and that is what I ordered. I am extremely pleased with the fit! The length is perfect. I have a slender foot and have problems with my heels slipping out of shoes but that was not the case with these loafers! Slender foot friendly. They felt a little snug in the first couple of minutes but quickly adjusted to the shape of my foot.The soles are chunky platform but have a good walking flow. I do not clunk-clunk and am able to walk completely naturally. The first time I wore them to the office (8 hours) with thin stockings and had no rubbing, blisters, or discomfort of any kind.As for style, I love the in-between finish of the pleather. Not patent, not matte, but more like a satin finish. There are cute gunmetal gray accents on the back of the heel and the "DK" (the "NY" is matte black). In the photo the gray looks chromey but in-person it is not a true shiny silver finish.I recommend! The Texas Heeled Platform Loafers from DKNY are stylish, comfortable from the first wear, and fit true to size. I feel confident when wearing and received several compliments.

WOW. That’s all I have to say! These shoes are heavenly comfy. I was so excited to see loafers and platform loafers making a comeback this year. I had some in the 90s! These are insanely easy to wear and feels like they were designed for my feet. I have high arches (like super high/need orthopedic inserts usually), but the arch hits in the right spot! The heel is perfectly chunky without looking like clown shoes. I’m only 5’0” tall but have big feet, so I normally stay away from platforms and chunky heels.Here’s the thing: they run a tad tight, esp in the toe bed. I’m starting to think my feet are either getting bigger or wider as I get older (I’m 43), so maybe I should have sized up. Not sure if they have half sizes, but if they do and you have slightly wide feet, go up 1/2 size. If you wear thick socks, size up one whole size. Luckily they’re already stretching out a little with wear and don’t dig into my achilles.The material is so thick and soft. The stitching is impeccable. I was afraid the bold logo hardware would look silly, but it’s beautiful and doesn’t stand out as much as I feared. They came packaged really well and had tissue wrapped around the hardware.I highly recommend them! Easy to dress up or dress down with jeans.
