After reading reviews of these I was so nervous about how they would fit, as everyone said they were running too small. I had my daughter try them on as soon as she opened them. Fit was perfect. The material was sturdy. Shipping was fast. Overall, I was super happy!

TLDR- I think the “big kid’s” sizes are US men sizes.These arrived today. The price was great. The quality looks great for the price, but is not up to the quality of dance shoes we have bought for traditional ballet classes.1- sizing issuesThe sizing is way off. I wear a US women’s 8- 9 depending on the shoe.I got a Big Kid 8.5. I expected that to be women’s sizes.The shoes came with a sticker on the bottom that says 42, no tag. I looked at a shoe chart, I think a 42 in Europe is equivalent to a US women’s 9.5/men’s 8.5. But a Chinese (it’s made in China) 42 is a women’s 8.5. I think the seller got the sizing wrong when adding to Amazon.I’d recommend going down in sizes in this brand. You might get away with going down a half size if you’re using men’s shoe sizes but I think I need to go down 1.5 sizes.2 -qualityI’d planned on using these for ballet/dance workouts. Not a ballet class. I don’t know how well they will hold up for actual dance classes.They seem well made enough for dance or similar workouts, but I haven’t worn them for that yet. I will have to get a different size or take these in to make them smaller for them to be safe to wear for dance workout. So I don’t know how comfortable they will be.The canvas fabric is fairly thick and on the inside it is soft like cotton flannel. There are seams around the edges, on the bottom and underneath the arch of the foot and up the heel. There is a thin insole and a small amount of padding under the ball of the foot and heel.Around the toe box, under the ball of the foot and the heel there is what might be suede or synthetic suede fabric. It is pleated underneath the ball of the foot. It is sewed down with a double row of stitches but the edge of the fabric is not seamed down.I’m just not sure how comfortable these will be to dance in. The fabric does not stretch, so if you are buying them for a child, and your child grows, they will not expand.If you have sensitive feet they might hurt from walking on the soles. I’m considering buying an additional insole for these to take up some room and I don’t know how well that will work for dancing.3- color and style.The color isn’t true to the screen. I ordered blue because it was on sale and it isn’t blue. It’s a bright turquoise. The toe and bottom is grey and the elastic is darker turquoise.I don’t mind the color, but my kid (14) laughed at them and said they look stupid (she’s danced in classes for years).[Added in by said 14 year old: They look like babies socks. As shoes. It’s hilariously stupid. I am entertained.]So if you’re sensitive to the look of the shoe or buying for a traditional class, they aren’t going to look like any shoes we’ve had required by teachers.I will definitely have to modify these to make them work for what I want.4 - feel on my footThey just don’t feel like ballet shoes. I don’t know if that’s because they are too big or because of how the shoe is constructed.Pros-They are about 1/3 of the cost of the other shoes I was looking at.They come in a lot of colors.The canvas will be easy to customize or take in for a better fit.I can add insoles if I want to.This might work for a little kid’s dance camp or short term class.If you’re looking for a shoe to modify for a performance and don’t want to mess up expensive dance shoes, it *might* work.

I actually wear these for a martial arts class. Given the floor we work on, I needed a shoe with a little less traction than my sneakers, but still enough to keep stability. I took ballet as a kid, so I thought these might work. Sure enough, they're perfect! For the record, I know a few who've used these for yoga as well.The sizing is accurate, and for the money, you can't beat it. I know part of the description says, "kids," but I wear a women's size 8, and they're spot on.
I purchased this for my granddaughter she really loves them and wears them all the time.
