Theses boots are amazing in all categories. Comfortable out of the box. Excellent leather and quality. Easy on and off. The round toe is such a great look. I have never preferred the boxy square toe on almost all men’s boots these days. But that’s just me. But the coolest touch is the extra layer of leather across the top of the foot. It’s been stylized with an almost wingtip flare that makes the boot so unique. Very subtle but very cool. Well done. Also, the soul of the boot is very sturdy and grippy for whatever service year moving around on.The only critique I might have is that the upper part is larger and needs a more boot cut pair of jeans to get over it. You end up with a little bit of the outline of the boot, pushing against the inside of your jeans. But not a problem at all just an observation. Overall, very happy with my purchase. These boots will be around for a long time.

Not the usual double h quality...
The sole on the right boot is coming apart and only been wearing them about 5 days. I'm waiting on the seller to contact me. Been wearing double h for decades and never had this trouble before. Also there was glue holding the top part to the shaft where it overlays. Not impressed at all with this pair. Hopefully I can get a refund or a different pair. I do not recommend this boot.

VERY POOR QUALITY CONTROL, overall nice boot, but terrible QC
EDIT: (REPLACEMENT PAIR ALSO HAS ISSUES) BUYER BEWARE, POOR QUALITY CONTROL, Does not seem like they have ANYONE conducting any sort of pre-packaging once-over to look for defects. Had an obvious gouge in the leather of my first pair, and the replacement pair has even further issues. Seller does not issue partial refunds, will only replace the boot (likely with another defective product) or you will have to return the boots for a refund. They informed me the reason they need the boots back, even if they are defective, is because they want to utilize them as a “reference for future quality control / look for certain issues they can prevent in the future.” I hate to say it but I call BS—I think these people are shipping out faulty goods and hoping people will just overlook these issues, re-selling junk that other people send back.They replaced my boots, gave me a prepaid label but had to bring the original back to FedEx to return, then wait for the replacement pair to come through the mail. …….Drumroll…… STILL have QC issues. Where the leather has designs / hole punches, there are several spots where the leather wasn’t punched all the way through so instead of a nice hole in the leather it’s just a circle that’s still mostly filled with torn leather fibers that I’ve had to try and pick out with tweezers. The heel on the right boot is all wonky and between the two boots they are pretty obviously uneven, and on the right foot the toe is also welted on to the sole off center to the left—it’s very obvious. Overall the quality of the leather seems nice and I love the way they look and fit, but for a $260 American made pair of boots I would expect WAY better quality control. A little frustrated with my first foray into Double H boots. There’s no way I’m trying to replace these for a second time because I have no faith the next pair will be any better. Going to see if I can at least get some sort of credit / refund because I don’t see how the quality of the boot warrants the price point. (Highly doubt it—but I’ll update my review if I reach a satisfactory outcome with the seller)(Original review below)⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️**Will remove this review if my situation can be made right by someone at Houser Shoes.** I want to preface this review by stating that the customer service rep from Houser Shoes was very responsive and timely, BUT, the issue I have is with the return policy itself. I received these boots, and there is a very obvious crack in the leather on one of the boots. The seller informed me that these boots shipped directly from Double H, so this makes me skeptic of Double H's quality control practices. This crack was so obvious, leads me to believe no one is checking these boots before they're going out the door, very frustrating that is how American made products are looked after these days. The next thing that concerns me about my purchase is that the only options are to return for a replacement, or to return for a refund. Why do they want these boots back? Do they intend to try and shove these boots onto some other unlucky customer in hopes they don't notice just to make a buck? It seems to me that a smart business decision to preserve the reputability of Double H and Houser Shoes would be to cut losses on a clearly damaged product that does not align with expected product quality standards and should not be going back out to any other unlucky customer. I don't see why the seller would want the product back, so I'm hoping someone at Houser Shoes or Double H can make this right by taking a step back from behind the "but our policy says" shield, and work with me on a creative solution that doesn't involve me having to go out to the store to give you back a damaged/inferior good, wait however long for a replacement pair, pray that the replacement pair isn't even worse due to the clearly non-existent QC process, all because of a bad policy and a lack of QC.Please someone make this right and my review will disappear!!

Amazing comfort and fit, awesome deep cut for movement.
I work in industrial maintenance, 12 hour shifts (more like 14) up and down ladders, wet floors, grease, powder.These boots have been wonderful. The deep cut is extremely nice for bending down or getting low. The higher heel keeps me up in puddles and provides great support walking all day.I clock about 14k steps a day, and these have been the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had. Somehow they are like clouds. The insoles are just a step up from anything else (including my other double h boots!) I tried a pair of work style Cody James boots and they were okay at first, but they ended up killing my feet.I would recommend these to anyone who is genuinely always standing or lifting or walking. Great for climbing as well.
