This slipper has changed my life
I have a bone deformity in my foot that is not fixable with surgery. I have to live with it. I also under pronate which means most of my weight falls on the outside bone, otherwise known as the fifth metatarsal. Walking can is unbelievably painful without the right footwear. I had found an online company for walking shoes so when I"m out of the house, I get relief in good shoes. My problem became what to wear at home. I do not like wearing shoes in my apartment. I like slippers, but most slippers and sandals do not offer my feet the right support. I must wear zero drop shoes and a lot of women's slippers have a slight heel, so no good.I like slip on sliders, but my feet don't like them, they slide around - not enough support.I live in NYC so a Dr. recommended I go to Harry's shoe store and buy the right inserts. I did that and they were wonderful in my shoes, but I couldn't find slippers that take custom inserts...then I found these Dr. Comfort slippers and couldn't order them fast enough. When I got them I put my custom inserts right in and it was like magic, my foot pain in the house was gone. These are a touch too wide, but I expected that as they are made for people with diabetes. I do not have diabetes, so my feet are medium to wide, not especially wide. But the slight wide width hasn't been a problem. The inserts balance the wide width for a good fit.If you have wide feet and mechanical problems with walking, and you have to wear custom orthotics in your shoes and slippers to be pain-free at home, these are your slippers. They are so comfortable and fit perfectly with the custom orthotic to cushion my feet in all the right places. The crippling foot pain I lived with for years is gone. Amazing slippers!
