There Dr. Martens.
I Got a really good price on these boots I'm really not a brown kind of guy but I got these on the try then buy. As soon as I took them out of the box I was, wow these are some nice looking boots they are a reddish brown nice and soft and made to speck and they have the waffle souls a plus because they last longer than the original Dr. Martens sole and there not as slick and believe me the last thing you want is a pair of Doc's with slick soles in the winter. I've slid down hills before in a well worn pair of Docs. When I say there made to speck, I mean it. Goodyear welts sewn to perfection and they look right, and feel right. Now a day's you have to spend an extra 100 dollars to get Dr. Martens from England they are made in many different country's. The best Dr.Martens made out there that aren't made in England in my opinion are the Dr. Martens that are made in Veit Nam. I've had Doc's that were made in China, Phillipines, and Malaysia. The Vietnamese take a great pride in there work and produce a superior product. And these boots are from Veit Nam. Dr. Martens don't come in half sizes also, pay attention to the sizing it my be in US or UK sizes. The Uk boots are one step down from US, so if you wear size 10 in US, you wear a size 9 UK if you wear a half size like say, a 10 and 1/2 try out the US 11 they may fit fine that's what I did and they fit great.

BEN sole on 1460 Pascal, COMFY
I usually wear 11.5 but Pascal is perfect in size 11, the Achilles tendon is easy to stretch. I got size 12 before and it could roll the ankles in soft leather...I'm not a EU46, either way, I wore them and liked it 🥾These are my favorite Docs (it's actually the sole is different than normally available, custom), when on sale......"Softer air cushion ""BEN soles"" commando tread pattern. They lasted 4-5 months, 5-6 days a week, 10 hours per days on asphalt and sidewalks, great for light duty summer work boots. 6'0" 185 lbs male w/ easy job mostly standing. IF YOU CANNOT WEAR SHOES AT WORK, THIS IS A GOOD IDEA.....not a deal breaker, having to buy my boots in the woman's section.....ONLY FULL SIZES, have to get them sized tight or half a size bigger.... THIN LEATHER 1460 Doc's in many designs and any color you might want.....go with pascal, though, suede is more breathable but Virginia leather is nice and soft.Solovair is the other made in England boot maker. They make 1/2 sizes. They are a bit thicker leather than made in England Doc's, longer lasting PVC soles. $150 discontinued color items-$220 classics. Still for lite duty work. GRIPFAST HAS THICK TREADS THAT WILL LAST.... put a new sole on old boots is a lost cause.Doc Martens steel toes were also famous if work requires steel toes. Pretty comfortable soles.

Crazy Horse is the way to go.
While all leathers of DM have their advantages and disadvantages these crazy horse leather boots are absolutely STUNNING out of the box. I do recommend wearing multiple socks with extra padding on your Achilles tendon until you break them in but other than that they fit perfectly. I ordered my regular whole size (I go between a 9 and 9.5 W US) and the toe box is roomy enough that my toes aren't cramped and my heel feels very comfortable. Honestly if I didn't have the rubbing on the back of my ankle these would be perfect out of the box. After about 6mths of use if they are still holding up I'll come back for th3 Black pair but for now this brown is classic, versatile, and matches all of the other deep leathers that I carry on a daily basis.

They look wonderful.
They are just like in the picture and the quality is really good. The fit good and they are comfortable for a boot. Only thing I dislike is that the sole is very noisy on tiles. Other than that I love them.

A lot softer than standard 1460s
Loved the brown color which was a little reddish. I treated them with some red pigmented cream, so my pair are a wonderful burgundy color now. Very little to no break-in period. Contrary to common practice, I find these boots to be more comfortable with thinner socks. If you like your boots shiny but are wary of the softer leather, the leather on these can polish to a mirror shine on the toecap. Very happy with these!

Wow! Absolutely love these! Granted, this is a first impressions review - not based upon long term use. I was somewhat concerned about the fit based upon other reviews as I am typically a 9.5 M (US) in dress shoes, but tend to order a 10 M (US) for athletic shoes. I ended up erring on the side of caution and ordered the 10 as it maps over to a 43 (EU) - which I definitely have ordered with many other makers. These are amazing! The Pascal leather is considerably softer and less stiff than the smooth letter. I just don't want to take these off. I will say, Amazon's "Try Before You Buy" program took away some of the concern by offering a trail period before even being charged for the boots. I was very happy to log into my account and accept the purchase on my card before the trail period had expired. These made for a very nice birthday present to myself. I'm 53 years old. You're never too old (or young) to own a cool pair of shoes. Invest in yourself!
