Excellent boots
These are legit DMs. They arrived quickly and were packaged well, in brand-name packaging. For the reviewers saying that these are fakes, Dr. Marten's are no longer made in the UK; they are now made in Asia. That's why the quality may seem different from your old Docs.I bought these after fracturing my foot at work. They are much sturdier and more protective than any other boots/shoes I normally wear.Other than the initial discomfort of breaking them in (which wasn't bad since I wore them with heavy wool socks for the first few days), they are extremely comfortable and I don't ever want to take them off!As for sizing, they are a bit roomier than other types of shoes. I normally wear a men's size 7.5, and sized down and ordered a 7. They fit perfectly and are comfortable with heavy socks, which is good for the winter.

Awesomely wonderful boots
This is my first pair of Doc Martens, and certainly won't be my last. I've had this boot for about three months now, and it's amazing! After looking at the reviews, I was anxious about how long it would take for these to break in. After about two weeks of owning the boots, I knew they were perfect. While the sizing is a little insane, the chart helped me out. I'm an 8 in women's, and ordered the 6.5 in mens (because they were cheaper), and they fit fine. The cushioning is very supportive, but not hard. The leather is very smooth, and of high quality. I'm honestly these boots weren't more expensive. I highly recommend these boots to anyone. The only problem with these are that they leave you wanting to buy even more pairs!

Comfortable and stylish
I love these boots. I wear them the most out of all my shoes. I can go a full day of being on my feet. I liked that the leather is sealed with a plastic coating so that they don't get destroyed in the rain, they are not waterproof but will keep your feet dry in rain and light snow. Very good quality and I did not have to break them in much - the only time I felt discomfort was when I was on my feet running up and down for 10 hours and developed friction burns on my calves. I wear a size 39/8.5 and the size 6 UK fit me perfectly.

Love these boots
Love these boots! Wear them for work almost everyday as a bartender (5pm-3/4am). Very comfortable, durable and keep my feet dry. 4 stars because they are a little wide, but nothing a thicker sock can't fix. Would definitely buy again. Quick delivery, quality product and comfortable :)

Know what you’re looking for
I LOVE mine. I wear an 8 but intern have to wear up to 9s be abuse my feet are so wide. I did my research to find a boot that would be good for my feet and found that these run “wide,” I also read how stiff they are but once u break them it they are great. They fit my wide feet perfect and yes they were stiff. When I put them on the we’re so stiff at the base of the tongue where the laces end. It felt like I had them in with the tongue stuck at inside the shoe. I stuck a ball in each shoe when I wasn’t wasn’t manually using my hands to punch and roll the stuff part. It only took me two days with little effort to break them in.

I don't know what people are complaining about. I love these shoes, and I have been wearing Doc Martens for about 20 years. They are comfortable, gorgeous, and they required very little breaking in. However, I am glad that I read the reviews regarding sizing. Definitely size down, because they run large. I wear a U.S. women's 8.5, and I ordered a U.S. women's 8. They fit like a U.S. women's roomy 8.5 or maybe a 9, but that's what I was expecting based upon the size warnings.

Don't buy a whole size down if you a guy, buy your size and purchase insoles
I see most of the comments about these boots being to big and to buy a size down are from woman. They have woman fitting 1460 boots which you should buy. I am a guy that wears a size 7 in everything. I went into a shoe store to try these on before I purchased them online because of all these size comments. The 6 was to small for me length wise, my toes were squashed at the front of the boot and when laced up very tight around my ankle. The 7 fitted better, but honestly did feel a little and I mean a little loose, but they are boots which are suppose to have a bit of room they're not sneakers or trainers that can be tight fitting. I definitely would not recommend purchasing a whole size down (if your a guy) you'll kill your feet, you want to enjoy wearing your boots. I've since bought a pair of these online and purchase Dr Marten insoles and they fit perfect. I been wearing them all the time and they now have creases on them and feel so comfy. Very happy with these boots.
