They're great mid weights for dry weather
Not a lightweight boot or a heavy boot. It's not a shoe like boot. It's definitely a boot. Good for dry warm to cool weather. Very comfortable. Super quality. Ankle strap helps laces stay tied. They look nice without looking too much like uniform boots. Informal and with Dr. Martin yellow stitches so you don't look like such a militant control freak. Not for running. Thick soles are comfortable. Good boot for normal life stuff up to regularhiking with a light pack.

The shoes are safe!
The shoes are good but I would've appreciated the entire item be better protected than just a plastic bag. These shoes could've been damaged due to shipping and I would've been out a pair of great shoes! Some of us store our shoes in the boxes they come in until they plan on wearing them. Even then, some of keep the shoes in the boxes they come in and the boxes already being compromised shortens the amount of time the boxes are useful. It's all part if the investment. Otherwise, the shoes are great!
