Nothing beats Dr. Martens
As a kid of the '90s, Docs were a staple in our wardrobe. I purchased the smooth white in size 7US. I usually run 7.5 - 8 in other shoe brands but 7 consistently in Docs. At first they were a little snug. It took me walking around the house for 20 minutes to loosen them up. Thankfully, that's all it took because I wore them for 9 hours and not a blister or pain to be had.These shoes are not for the faint of heart as they are a bit heavy but I happen to like that. The finish on the white is my favorite. Honestly, I can't think of anything negative to say about these shoes. It's true, fashion makes a come back overtime and I'm glad it has with these. Pair them with a nice wide leg jean and transport back to the 1990s. Extra points if you have a bomber jacket.Don't be hesitant.... just BUY THEM! They will last you for years.

Break them in
These fit tight and were very stiff when they first arrived, but after a few wears they have started to break in. These shoes are heavy and durable. I have received so many compliments when I wear them.

The photo for the white smooth leather is inaccurate
As the title says, the photo for the white smooth leather is inaccurate. It shows the original 1416 shoe in the pictures, but it is DEFINITELY the 1416 Quad (with the 1.5" platform height) that you get.I was hoping that the photo wasn't accurate since the written description says 1416 Quad, so I'm happy with my purchase. However some may be expecting the original 1416 based on the picture, which isn't the case.
