Beautiful boots! Love them.
These boots are beautiful! They are great quality, the color is so pretty, they're true to size, and surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. I wear a solid size 8 and because they don't offer half sizes these are a little on the loose side, which I expected. They should work fine for an an 8.5 as well. It just gives me room for thick socks. Usually Doc Martens take a while to break in, but because these are not thick leather, they're fine to wear without fear for several hours the first day, although I don't think I'd wear them that much time if it's all in your feet. Really beautiful boots!

They look amazing
I ordered an 8 (I normally wear 9). Very uncomfortable the first few wears but by the 3rd time they aren’t so bad. The laces that come with are too short to lace all the way up, there are 3 left unlaced. Cute though.

Beautiful Vegan Boots
These boots really are adorable and I love the color! The sizing is the same as the original Doc Martens, however, since they are vegan they are not quite as flexible as the leather boots are. Purchased new directly from Amazon so I was a little surprised that they did not arrive in their original box. Not a deal breaker since the boots were obviously new, but still.

Reliable - Stands the test of time
This review stands the test of time. I’ve had my original pair of velvet Docs since 2015 (10 years ago as I’m writing this). They seem to bring out some iteration of this exact boot every ten years or so, because I’ve seen a pair identical to mine on Etsy from the 90’s. I wore the hell out of these boots and man, are they durable. Whenever I’d get dirt or a scuff on it I would just brush it off or pick it with my fingernail and the boot would be good as new. The velvet is actually amazing for keeping them in shape. I mean god, I’ve even puked on them at the bar and you’d never be able to tell. There’s not as much wear and tear as you’d think after 10 years of hiking in them and wearing them daily and beating them up. A few bald spots from where it creased and obviously the stitching has long since been yellow from tromping through mud. Considering how long I’ve had them and what they’ve been through, they’re doing alright.Anyway, this NEW pair is pretty close to the originals. The shade of burgundy is slightly lighter and they have more of a sheen (though that’s in part because the sheen on the older ones faded awhile back) and there are some really minor differences you’ll see in the pictures. The one noticeable difference is that the toe is SOLID and that’s a big improvement from the originals. That should hold up way better.Last thing I’ll add is that these are two different sizes so they’re not a perfect comparison. I am a size 10; the originals are an 11 and the new ones are a 9. I’ve worn 9 in Docs before and after breaking them in they fit fine, so I’m not too concerned. The only reason the originals are an 11 is because they didn’t have my size. But yeah, I’ve been looking for a backup pair for awhile now that my old pair is getting rugged, so I was excited to see these come back.
