My daughter recommended these shoes since she knows I’m on my feet all day at work. Breaking them in is necessary since they are stiff but after using a blow dryer to the inside before wearing made shoes fit to my feet. They look great with slacks, jeans and even everyday dresses. This made them a great value. I expect them to last for years. My daughter’s shoes still look great after having them for a few years.
Love them. I usually wear a 9.5, sometimes a 10 (in womens). Based on reviews AND on Doc Martens size chart that is based on foot length, I ordered a size 9, and they fit well, although definitely no room to spare. If you wear thick socks, keep that in mind regarding size. I am wearing 2 pairs of those thin white socks (for the break in period), and I'm comfortable. Much more comfortable out of the box than I expected, leather not a stiff as I thought it would be, but still it is stiff-ish. I suspect the back of my heels might take a little beating until they break in, but that is standard with Docs. I have narrow feet, and these are great for that. If you have wide feet, prob shouldn't choose these --- or go to Doc Martens store and try on, or buy unisex. Really happy with these, and Amazon's price is about 20 bucks cheaper than Doc Martens website. As always, fast delivery, on a Sunday no less!
Terrible quality. The buckle came broken fresh out the box. It wasn’t even riveted into the shoe properly so the entire buckle came detached. Also the insole wasn’t properly installed on the inside of the shoe. The top layer is just held together with a cheap adhesive and it wasn’t installed flat or tight. The top layer was rolled over and glued to itself at the tip of the shoe. Making it impossible for the shoe to fit properly on my wife. Not that it would matter with the buckle being broken. Returned them the next day. The amount of money doc charges for such poor quality now and days is baffling.
Just what I wanted, perfect style and color. A little stiff, not as comfortable as I would have liked. Hoping over time they will "break in".
Cute, comfortable, and not as heavy as I remember them being back in the 90’s! On my feet all day as a teacher and no complaints from me!
I can't ever get the sizing right on Docs, but the 7 in these is perfect with light to medium weight socks. Normally wear a 7-7.5 depending on toe box, but docs are always either way too big (7/38) or just too small enough to where my toes crash into the front (6/37). These are perfect with socks, just a tiny bit of extra room in the toes. They're stiff and would definitely cause blisters without socks until broken in but that's normal. Cushioning feels pretty good for docs. Don't think an insert in needed but time will tell. Overall, really good shoe.
