More comfortable and secure than it looks
Was having foot pains and remembered these sandles from years ago. Looked them up and found that an updated version with cushioned soles are being sold now. Prices were good and decided to order a pair to try out. They are cute, easy to put on and kick off and looks good with all kinds of outfits.Foot pains have gone down since wearing them. So I guess they work pretty well for support.

Love, Love Love!!! Super Comfy!!
I like alot of you grew up in the 70's and had every color of the Original Dr. Scholl's Wooden Sandals! I loved them! They were extremely comfortable, but I will not pay the price they are asking for them today! Back in the 70's they were like 20 bucks! They were a constant on my feet!! Oh how I long for them for all my adult years, I'm now 55....With that being said, I ordered the white ones with the plastic/ rubbery bottom! Just got them today, put them on and I love them! They are amazing and comfortable to walk in!! I will be getting more colors! Don't knock these, give them a try.....you might be extremely happy with them as I am!!! The fit is amazing, the comfort is beyond and they are extremely light weight! Quit knocking them, these are amazing!!!

Dissppointed
I bought these same shoes before, years ago, but they were better quality back then. Now, this time around, after my recent purchase, the quality was very poor. The main issue being that the cushion inside of the roof of the shoe was missing. Long ago, when I first bought the shoes before, they were so comfortable, and was real wood instead of plasticky, and had soft cushion on the roof of the shoe on the inside. This time, the shoe had no cushion on the roof of the shoe on the inside and kept pitching my toes, the part where you slip your foot in the shoe. Still, I wanted them so bad that I tried to add cotton on the inside, and cloth, and was basically trying everything to stop the discomfort in order to not have to return the shoe, but no matter what I did, nothing worked.......so I surrendered and had to return them. Too bad the quality of a couple of years ago was gone. Wow, what a perfectly good shoe gone to waste, probably only in order to save money........but in the end, did they?

not the same but are a fun look back
Of course they are not the same as they were 50 years ago.And the ones advertised as the originals going for about $100+ are not either and would never buy those at that ridiculous price. This is a fun throw back to nostalgia. They are comfortable and well made and moderately priced by 2024 standards so I enjoy wearing them as they are and having some fun with the concept!

Not Your 70’s Sandals!
In fairness, I have a very narrow, small-boned foot (ok, two of them…) so my fit is kind of unusual. Having said that, I took a chance knowing that the man made material would probably dig into my toes. I was right. Two such little pieces of leather and they couldn’t use leather? These would be perfect with soft leather tops! The footbed and sole are great. The footbed is really well-cushioned, and comfy to walk on. I even think the faux buckle and hook-and-loop are cute. Love the overall style. I’ll just add some padding to the top part, and pray that some day they’ll use leather and make the perfect sandal. I bought the white, and they just seem to look cool and classy with everything. I might even buy the classic tan. Nice to see them around again. Back again to admit that the straps softened right up and they are so comfy I bought the tan ones! I’ve worn the white ones so much and yet they show no signs of wear and are simple to clean. I never did add the padding I thought I’d need to prevent blisters. The tops really look and feel like soft leather. I’m a convert! Maybe red will be next!

cheap and uncomfortable. fake buckle.
So disappointed in these. I had real Dr. Scholl's in the 70's with the real wood soles, and those things lasted forever! These are horrid. The footbed is hollow and feels like it is going to cave in on you. The plastic foot strap is too rigid and cuts into your foot, and never breaks in. Can't adjust properly because the buckle is fake - cheap plastic with a chrome coating that will never stand up to wear and tear. There is a velcro strip under the buckle area, but that doesn't feel like it will hold half-size adjustments. Foot bed is too long. A waste of money. I never wore them because of all the issues above. If you do order them anyhow, go a half size down.
