Cute shoes...be careful if you're a 1/2 size

These Dr. Scholl's original clogs 365 are cute and reminiscent of the Dr. Scholl's dance clogs (which I loved). These have a wider base and lower center of gravity than the dance clog which is a plus for me. I wear an 8.5 in most shoes, but these only come in whole sizes. The 9 is great for length (an 8 would have been too "short"), but a little wide. There is a strap with a buckle that can be adjusted, so this helps with the width, but since the shoes are synthetic (and I also love that as someone who is looking for non-leather shoes), the tightness achieved by moving the strap one hole is significant and not going to get looser over time. I would make a new hole between the existing ones, but the material wouldn't be reinforced/thicker around that new hole, thereby potentially tearing the material. They are really cute shoes, though, and comfortable as well. The price is also really good with this vendor (black, size 9, 39.95 USD), and shipping/packing was good. I will wear a while and see if the strap tightening helps keep the shoe on my feet without being so tight it rubs. :)
