I've worn this model of shoe for many years.

I spent almost thirteen years in the Army in combat arms assignments - mainly Airborne/paratroop. The one thing you learn quickly is take care of your feet. After being medically retired from the Army I went into education. The lesson learned in the Army definitely held true in the classroom, where you are on your feet all day - if you're doing the job right.I say all this to emphasize why I love this particular shoe. When I first went into teaching I needed a shoe that was comfortable, durable, and at the same time presented a professional appearance. I tried several different loafers that looked comfortable, but after a day on concrete floors left me feeling that I had walked my ankles into my knee caps.A jogging shoe would have been nice, but IMO did not go well with the slacks, shirt and tie I wore daily to work. When I discovered this particular style of Dr. Scholl's shoe I believe I found the perfect blend of shoe - comfort and professional style. Dr. Scholls probably makes a dressier shoe that is comfortable, but I found this particular "sneaker" to meet my needs to a "tee."Since retiring I've found no reason to change. I might have dressier shoes for special occasions, but when I'm going to the store or just "knocking around town" I wear this brand. I've had to buy other brands that look like Dr. Scholl's, but find they are not as well made or comfortable. I just hope I can keep finding them.

My husband loves his shoes!!

My husband loves his new shoes! They are lighter weight and the insoles are more cushioned than his other brand of tennis shoes. The wide width is perfect and the Velcro straps are plenty long and adhere well. These have more of a running shoe look, as opposed to an orthopedic shoe look, which is also a plus. Definitely recommend!
