Work boots with protection
Wife insisted I wear snake gaiters when out on the ranch, up to my neck in the green scene, spraying for poison ivy or varmint hunting. I thought I’d compromise and get these boots which claim to be “viper proof” instead. What I discovered was, in addition to protection from fanged friends, these are one of the best pair of work boots yet - with one exception that I’ll get to momentarily under “lowlights”.The highlights:• Very durable construction (I’ve owned several pair of Muck boots for comparison)• Rigid but comfortable footbed• Somewhat adjustable cinch strap at top of boot which helps regulate heat release as well as keeping critters and smaller particulate and plant materials from gaining entrance• Confident grip on a variety of surfaces• Impermeable - easy rinse off of poison ivy, herbicides, pesticides, and manure• Generous toe room and ergonomic foot support• Rigidity of uppers keeps boots from turning 90 degrees and derailing your efforts to get a foot in if you happing to be standing up while putting boots on your feet• Rubber construction seems thick and capable of deflecting a snake bite attempt - I haven’t tested first hand. Yet.• Speaking of snake bite protection, these boots have extra high coverage - almost up to the knee• Love the camo pattern• Superior cold weather protection, excellent and breathable insulationThe lowlights:• The same insulation that makes these superior cold weather boots makes you sweat rapidly in any temperature over about 85 and moderate or greater humidityAnd that is really about it. Now go buy them.2022 SEPTEMBER UPDATE:Boots are still performing exceptionally well after tons of use and abuse through the most rugged and punishing circumstances. Over 120 hours of continuous wear through thick brambles, scree, and scrub.Take a close look at last three photos for evidence of wear. The toe has born the brunt of the abuse but it likely has years of life left in it. Not a single thorn (mesquite, cat claw, etc.) has ever pierced these boots giving me confidence that if I was ever bitten by a copperhead or rattler, I’d be fully protected.Note the amount of tread left. Still substantial and fully capable of helping climb steep embankments or navigating muddy riversides.I LOVE THESE BOOTS!

They are well-crafted,,very nice boots
These boota are made a wbole lot different than most rubber boots,ive had about ever brand thier is irsh settler is probably my most recent rubber boot and they didnt hold a ligjt to these boots,,they are a little heavy bit very comfortable,,,thicker rubber so ots gonna take alot to puncher a hole in them,they have a well developed bottom,,mud track with spikes, so the grip is very good,only time will tell with these bit so far im.very pleased,,they came very fast ordered on a Thursday they came sat morning,,5 stars so far

SO HAPPY WITH THESE
These boots are very high quality. They are true to size and are very comfortable. My husband feels so much safer now, we live on a lake with cotton mouth snakes and known rattlesnakes on the drier ground. He is so glad we got this boot due to it being very well made and the quality of materials used. The only bad thing is that the boot is hard to get off, there is a tab on the heal to use a boot removal, just ordered one from Amazon and this will take care of this issue. Another good thing is that if you have a wide calf, these are adjustable for a wide calf. UPDATE--Just received the boot removal step and it works perfect, glad we got this tool, foot slides right out. My husband is on cloud 9.

Good quality boots and tuff but very stiff. Feels like an insulated pair of hardware store rubber boots. I have short legs being 5.8 and these come to my knees. I wear a 9 but the 9s were too tight. Caused me to slam my toes to the front inside the boot easily. Ordered a 10. Now too roomy. Probably going to install memory foam in the end to take up slack. Keeps feet warm but sweat bad in the earlier months. I used a boot drier and does the trick. But hey excellent product.
