Super comfortable! Other reviews said they run big, which is true. I ordered my usual size and have plenty of room for my wide feet and thick socks if I wish.
I bought these as an alternative to my paddock boot. I needed more support on one of my feet for riding and these are doing the trick. I am normally a size 7 in most shoes, but I ordered up a half size to make sure I had room for my feet to swell this summer. I'm wearing a thicker sock (added cushion) with them and they are perfect. They are easy to clean off after a morning at the barn. They are a good all around outdoor shoe.
I don't know what they did when they redesigned the Venturer, but the sizing is completely WACK. I have 3 yo Venturers, in 8.5, and they were wonderful until they finally sprung a leak. I ordered the same size again, and the length had changed, it was now too short. Ordered size 9, and they were clown shoes, WAY TOO big. Sent both back, reordered thinking maybe it was an anomaly, but no, same result. Reached out to the manufacturer, who really had no answers except that they were redesigned to the Venturer III. Tried AGAIN, even brought the delivery to the shoe repairer who was fixing the leak on my old ones. He compared the two sizes, 8.5 and 9, and said that the 9 was at least ONE AND A HALF SIZES TOO BIG from the 8.5. He literally said they were clownishly big. I don't know if the company is mixing up men's and women's sizing or what, but now you know that the fit is problematic.
Bought these as a gift for someone who need comfy riding shoes due to having foot surgery. She told me she loves the fit and durability. They keep her feet warm and dry and are comfortable to ride in. She rides in style while still being comfortable!
Run large and are a bit heavy and clunky. They are well made & comfortable. Tons of dirt and hay get into them when I walk. I don't like that .
I love these shoes for riding and barn work . They are very durable, and wear well. My last pair lasted for many years.
