Very well made shoe
I knew this was going to be a good shoe as my hubby has a black pair he loves. I delayed rating this until after Christmas since it was a present. Now that he has the shoes, I can say he is very happy to have them and they are just as comfortable as his other pair. Highly recommend this product. He's had his black ones for a couple of years and they just don't wear out. They support his feet which is very much needed and they look nice, too.New update: Finally had to order a new pair. They're still made well and for perfectly.This is an update: The shoes are still being worn but are starting to break down a bit, so ordered him another pair for hot standby. He is a large and heavy man and does a lot of walking and standing on concrete floors. He is still very happy with the shoes, but we just wanted to have a pair in reserve when these are really shot.

Great quality and good price!
Bought these shoes for my dad who wears a foot brace to help with foot drop since his stroke. Was great to be able to order these with the extra wide width to accommodate this. The velcro straps are easy for him to adjust. He did need to go up a half size however because they seem to run a little smaller than his normal size in length. Very comfortable and nice brown leather dress shoe. He really likes these!

Overall, I really like the shoes. Just like many other reviewers of this product, I wish the manufacturer had increased the length of the straps. They look perfect when shipped, but once you put them on, you're pretty lucky if they stretch far enough to keep the shoe snug on your foot. I got the 4E size 10 and if you've got a puffy, wide foot, you may want to get a different product. I used to work at a big and tall men's store and I understand the foot problems associated with persons with diabetes or obesity. It's just tough to find shoes that fit. Now...with all that said, I'm very pleased with my order so far. I put in plantar fasciitis inserts into both shoes and they feel wonderful to walk in. Did not have to take anything out to get them in. I didn't even realize it when I ordered, but the shoes are designed with special rubbery "buttons" on the bottom along with gripping treads to make them very non-slip. Since I just got these yesterday, I'm not sure how the "buttons" will hold up over the long-haul, but they're definitely a nice feature. I hope they last. These are going to be my work shoes so they're definitely going to get some intense wear from me. I don't work in an industrial job, but I do have to walk quite a bit. I'm just happy to find a quality shoe that looks a little bit more "dressy" than the sneakers I've been wearing over the past few years. I hope the Dunham folks start making more options offering the Velcro straps so those of us who have trouble bending and stretching will have a wider range of shoes to wear in both casual and formal occasions. Just increase the length of the straps by about an inch or so, please!

I got these for a trip to Iceland, and I needed 6E but I've never had them before; but these are so roomy for me and my orangutan feet... I could have ordered a size smaller but I was afraid to because, well my whole life I've had to order a size or two larger to get the width I needed. My foot is the length for 8.5 and I got size 10... I think that I could have gone with a 9 and still had a little wiggle room for thick socks. Overall, great shoes, waiting to see about durability.

I had purchased this identical shoe from ZAPPOS/AMAZON about six years ago. Wore beautifully and extremely comfortable. Herein lies the rub. Time to replace. Zappos did not have a 12 6E three weeks ago so I ordered this shoe from AMAZON. The AMAZON size chart indicates a double wide size. I searched the questions asked and found that one person indicated the double wide is the same as 6E. I ordered. The shoe came and sure enough...it says 6E on the tongue BUT it felt tight. I checked ZAPPOS again and now their 6E was in stock. I ordered and I can vouch that there is an absolute difference in a 6E and DOUBLE WIDE (probably closer to a 5E - if the made one). I am returning the AMAZON shoes.

Great Shoe that's light enough to be used as a no-slip slipper
I have a narrow foot and consequently, have not been able to find a good pair of narrow house slippers that would fit me.
