Quality materials and build make this a bargain

These Dunham Men's Norwood Fisherman Sandals are made of quality materials with good fit and finish. They are true to size, fit nicely., and are offered at a good price point for what one receives. As to durability, I will put them to the test and will report any premature failures. The foot bead and sole provide a comfortable and stable platform not found of cheaper offerings out there.

Hard to pick the right width.

Looks like a good sandal. However, there's nothing in the size guide to help you select width. I normally wear 4E shoes. These XX-Wide were way too wide. I have returned these and will try the X-Wide. If they provided more size information, they would likely have fewer returns and save me time and trouble. I've noticed that a lot of clothing items have nothing at all in the Size section. Please improve on this.

Typical Dunham High Quality

50 years ago whenever near Brattleboro VT I would pay a visit to the Dunham factory outlet store and purchase a pair of their high quality boots. One pair of their leather hiking boots lasted me 15 years of constant wear maintaining their good looks after several resoles. Today most of these kind of things are disposable without that level of quality. No longer made in the USA I did did not expect the same quality from these Chinese made sandals but was pleasantly surprised when upon opening the box. These are the sturdy good looking quality Dunhams I remember. Attractive with excellent arch support these are now go to sandals rivaling my many Birkenstocks but different as these are like the definately Dunhams hiking boots of sandals. I do like the velcro in place of buckles as it does make getting them on and off less fussy. Highly recommended.

Premium Sandels!

Open the box and right away you get confirmation that this is a premium sandal. They smell like leather and have a heft to them. The construction reminds me more of a medium weight hiking shoe rather than a beach sandal. They are very comfortable and can be worn either sock-less or with a little loosening of the straps, heavier wool socks will fit. They have plenty of arch support and I can see being able to wear them on long walks without discomfort or strain.They come in an almost bewildering selection of sizes. My measured foot size is 10 EEE and I ordered a 10 XX wide. The fit couldn't be finer. I don't have any basis to compare the 10, 10 X wide and the 10 XX wide, other than my 10 EEE is generally the widest measured foot size and so I ordered the widest available. I works for me. If the 10 XX wide had not been available, I likely would have gone with a 10.5 wide or an 11 if no width options were available. Again, I didn't do any comparison fitting but that's generally how I size new shoe purchases.Overall, with the high quality construction, comfort and the ability to shop an array of sizes and widths. these sandals are worthy of the premium price.
