Great value.The leather appears to be of quality, and the appearance is of a well-made and quality boot.The upper part appeared red-toned in the product photos, but is actually a closer brown to the lower part -- I like that!Fit is as expected: seems to be accurate sizing.I am in the process of break-in and will report back after 1 month of use when the boot has softened a bit and stretched to my foot.
Appearance. They look great. The "lowers" on mine were darker brown than the vertical "shaft" part which was exactly the color shown in the picture. I don't mind the differential. No one will likely see the shaft color anyway.Fit: Incredible. They feel broken in the minute you put them on. The shaft is very thin and not entirely leather. It has an outer leather "skin" but the inside is a synthetic material of some kind. Together they are probably no more than 2-3 16ths of an inch thick. That's partly why these boots feel so good right away. It truly is like putting on a pair of "tennis shoes". The bottoms are also a bit thin by feel which is another factor for comfort. There is no breaking in required because there is absolutely no stiffness to these boots. None. So the pluses from an initial impression are looks (they look great) and the incredibly comfortable feel right out of the box. I have to admit the synthetic soles don't really sound like "boots" when you're walking on a hard surface. No sound at all.Are there negatives? Perhaps. First don't expect these boots to protect you from a sprained ankle. You step in a gofer hole and you're going to feel it. These boots simply aren't rigid enough to offer much ankle support. Again, kinda like wearing the OLD Converse high top shoes. Second, are these things going to last? For casual wear perhaps. I intend to work in these boots. I'll be surprised if they hold up for a year or more, but hey, others say they've worn 'em for years so maybe I'm in for a pleasant surprise. I'm going to keep them. They weren't that expensive. If they don't hold up, I'll have learned my lesson but won't have lost that much in dollars. If you need ankle support and intend to really work hard in your boots, these might not be the best option ??
Perfect fit very comfortable
These are the best boots! Sizing is excellent, colors are tight, walk all day and chill all evening. I have 4 pair in different patterns and rotate through the week. These are supr light and handle several miles a day in a dirty metal shop.
This is my second pair of Durango boots and they seem more narrow than my previous pair. I normally wear standard width shoes so if you have a wider foot you may want to order this boot in a wide. The cushion is great and it feels like I have a spring in my step when I walk in these boots. I’ve gotten lots of compliments from coworkers that notice these boots. Also the color of the flag is not as bright as the online picture but I like that better. Great boots!
Was very excited about new boots with neat styling and affordability.
My boyfriend loves these boots and will not wear any other kind. He says they are super light and very comfortable. This is the third purchase in the last 5-6 years.
