Perfect beginner dance shoe! These are stylish and are great for someone just learning to dance. The leather bottom makes for a nice slide without being slippery. True to size fit, like true to size, with little wiggle room once dress socks are added, however a half size up may be too big so my husband chose to keep these. Can’t beat the price, a real bargain for such nice shoes!
The Leather Sole Ballroom Dance Shoes by Dynadans, are a great way to get some reasonable priced dance specific shoes. My normal size fit me well. They’re reasonable comfortable and easy to dance in and have held up so far. They seem to be durable for the cost.
these are great looking dress shoes that fit me well (I have wide feet), but if I can dance in them ....... well I never could dance before. The shoes look very good on and seem good quality both sole and uppers. I was a bit hesitant about ordering them but they are exact size and fit perfectly. Recommended.
These fit my husband perfectly. Now, I did order them a half size up because he has a high instep, so take that with a grain of salt whether they are true to size, or not. He also said they were comfortable. That makes these a steal at this price. (At the time of writing this review, price was $29.29)They came packed beautifully, each in their own bag, and would make for a great beginner's gift. They look good and seem durable, but I would think after a while of continued use, they may have creasing on the tops due to the material being PU leather.I was worried about slippage with the sole being made of suede, rather than leather as advertised, but there was still plenty of grip while giving easy ability for pivoting and turns. The suede on the bottom does look a little odd, but how often do people stare at the bottoms of your shoes when you're in them? No one will notice unless you tell them, or prop your foot up in the air.
Decent shoes but the build quality is just so-so. Workmanship is acceptable but it is obvious that there was some hand assembly with this pair of shoes. The entire sole and heel of these shoes are covered in a felt like material that will make you very quiet on the dance floor. I simply do not think these will last. Glued uppers to sole and single row stitching is how these are made.
I go through dance shoes quickly, so I was surprised to find this pair was sturdier than I expected for the price. They fit my feet well, and they’re flexible enough to let me roll from toe to heel or stay on the balls of my feet during a waltz or quickstep. They made be solid black, but the design is elegant enough to wear in competition or comfortable enough for several hours of practice. In short, my feet are happy dancing in these.
Update: hubby has worn these salsa dancing a couple times (with me of course) and they are a winner. He says they make it easier to dance without having to lift his foot all the way off the floor for another step the way he had to in the past with regular shoes. So cool! We make sure to bring them in a bag so he’s not wearing them on pavement. Big no no.Can confirm, dance skills have improved. Apparently I’m going to need dancing shoes of my own to level up.Original review…These have great soles and will be perfect for dancing. I got these for my husband and we tested them out immediately on our hardwood floors-- they allow for just the perfect amount of slip to really get those twirls in! They look a little girly to me, which is not my favorite, and my husband said the top of the heels kind of cut in a bit, which will impair dancing ultimately. However, with cushy socks or if you get a half size up and put a heel protector on it, maybe that will go away. He got his usual size and they fit to a T-- maybe a little too closely to a T. He's got about 3 cm of room, so only time will tell if that's too accurate. If you're nervous about that, maybe also size up a half size? Always a bit hard to say with shoes.I knocked a star for the "girly" look and the heels, but overall, it seems like a well-made shoe that will serve its purpose just fine. It came nicely packaged in a cleaner-than-usual looking shoe box (I don't know how to describe it-- it just looks almost like a gift box shoe box!) and each shoe came in its own separate bag inside, which was a really nice touch. Describing just in case you want to give it as a gift! I think it would make an excellent one.
