Great shoes...on my second pair and considering a third
This is my second pair of Eastland Daily Doubles. I picked up a pair last year (with Gunsmoke Suede fabric) at a local store and the shoes quickly became my go-to option. Easy to put on, good in all weather, and comfortable. After a thorough beating walking to and from work with those puppies, the sole wore off and it was time to get new pair. I initially went looking in my local shops since I like to try shoes on before buying them, but nothing seemed to have anything quite like my old Daily Doubles. And then the idea hit to just re-up again with a second pair exactly like my old ones. Amazon to the rescue! This time though, i went for the leather option. My expectations were exceeded: these new shows are even more comfortable, the marksmanship seems to have been stepped up a notch in this last year (sturdier soles/ and more comfortable inserts), and the leather looks great. So happy actually, that I'm considering getting a another pair in a different color now. Sizing runs a bit large. I wear size 10 (mizuno wave riders) or 10.5 (nike pegasus), but the 9.5 Eastland fit best.Photo: New shoes on left (10 days of wear), and old shoes on right (~1 year of constant use)

My new daily drivers.
My first pair of Chelsea boots and these are now my daily drivers. I also own a pair of the black ones to switch it up a bit depending on what I'm wearing on any given day.First off, they're stylish and they can be dressed up or down. On a recent business trip this was the only footwear I brought with me because I didn't need anything else. I was able to wear them on-site and after work to hang.Second, the leather is great. I added mink oil to them as soon as I got them and the leather softened up and broke in pretty quickly. The memory foam insoles are incredibly comfortable. The rubber soles are grippy and add another dimension of comfort to the boot. The sizing runs a bit large; I usually wear a men's 10 - 10.5 in athletic shoes and I sized down to 9.5 in these and they fit perfectly. The width on these is great, too. I have a wider foot and my feet never feel cramped. All in all, these are at the point now where they feel like slippers. 11/10 will be purchasing again.

Comfy, Casual, and slightly disappointing
Bought two pairs of these because I loved them so much. They're extremely comfortable. Do not buy these thinking they will last doing light labor, because they DEFINITELY will not. These are for light social occasions. The heels in these boots are hollow and get punctured very easily. The sole is made of a flexible, thin rubber that I'm sure helps keep them comfortable, but because of this the sole is easily punctured as well. Another gripe is that the stiching on both pairs of these boots that I've bought has come undone over time. I was hoping the first time was a fluke but there's definitely a pattern here. These are not meant for repetitive long walks. Obviously since they're a slip on Chelsea boot they're convenient and nice, but that is all. Don't be tempted to use them for light work like me, because your investment will be ruined faster than you know it. Still, I'm probably going to buy a 3rd pair after not learning my lesson. If you want the comfiest Chelsea boot you've tried on for going to the grocery store, go for it.Sidenote: Eastland definitely needs to make a version of this boot that's a little bit more rugged for the working types that are always on their feet. The design and dimensions are perfect for it! Cmon Eastland! Go for it!

Switched from "jeans and sneakers" job to "slacks and shoes" job...
I wore sneakers basically every day for like 30 years. I had a pair of dress shoes that came out of the closet once or twice a year but they were really worn on the soles and very hard to get into and out of.So when I started a job that required me to wear decent shoes every day, I started searching for something that would suit me. This wound up being a great fit, literally. One of the few boots in this style that came in a wide size, and at a cheap price. So comfortable, I wear them on the weekends sometimes too... they're faster to get on and off than my sneakers.I wouldn't really consider them "boots" suitable for any sort of heavy-duty work. More of just a really tall dress shoe. I wear them in an office.Due to the harsh winter here I applied sno-seal to these boots. This didn't harm their appearance (to my eye) and it really makes the water bead off of the leather. So far they've lasted 3 months, if they last 1 year I'll be happy; at this price I can buy a pair every year, like I did with sneakers. Couple loose threads but I just melted them back with a lick from the flame of a lighter so they don't unravel any more.Update 2 years later: Time for a new pair. The leather looks fine but the soles are worn way down and the elastic is a bit stretched out. Rebuying the same boots even though the price went up by $50.

Terrible quality!
These shoes are absolute junk! After 2 months of light wear the sole is completely coming apart!

Bad sole
The boots look great. The upper part is built very well and would last a very long time. The sole and heel are the weak point. Soft rubber that wore out quickly and you are left with hollow soles filled up with pebbles when you walk around. Also leaves scuff marks on the boot if your feet ever touch.

Looks good for the price
First impression of the matte black boot was good. Fits well, I wear 15W so it's not always easy to find good boots in that size. I have nerve discomfort in my toes, the only issue I had were with the insoles that come with the boot. They are a little padded in the heel so it caused pressure on my toes since the boots already have a natural slope. All I did was switch them out for a flat insole from another boot. Problem solved. Fit and feel great.
