I bought these to wear often but mostly for motorcycle use. Boots often get worn out fast on motorcycles and these show very little wear in the first 500 miles of use. The cushioning is good, especially around the collar at the ankle. The tread lugs are not as deep as others I have had but walking all day is fine.

Needing a boot less for utilitarian reasons, and more for style, I happened upon this Eastland chukka at a great price here on Amazon. My size is usually 11.5 or 12 depending on the manufacturer, and I took a chance on 11.5 as it was the last one in stock.It’s a little big in my opinion. Not quite enough to totally slip on my heel, but enough where it doesn’t feel quite secure. Plus, the “memory foam” it advertises is incredibly weak. Nearly non-existent really. It’s insulting to say it’s there at all.Luckily I had a spare cushioned insole in another pair of shoes I don’t wear, so I removed the “memory foam” insole from the Eastland, and replaced it with my own. Feels 100% better. Not only is it more comfortable to walk in, but now the boot feels more like a fit.I still like the boots and find them stylish. But I just didn’t feel the sizing was right for me, and the memory foam was a joke.
Eastland makes quality leather boots. Their boots last for years. Every year I buy my husband leather boots from Eastland. They are always a perfect fit and very comfortable for all day. He still has every boot I ever bought him from Eastland. Each pair of boots still look like new.
After a couple months of daily use, I can no longer wear these because they have become so uncomfortable. They started out feeling pretty good, but have deteriorated to the point where I can feel gaps in the sole. They scratch/ scuff easily, and are an all around cheaply made product.
