Great shoe, runs small, works with orthotics
Let me start by saying that this is a great shoe. I returned no less than seven other pairs of shoes before finding this one, and it was worth the work. The shoe is comfortable right out of the box, fits well, and works with orthotics. It is not designed for orthotics, in that the manufacturers insole is glued in, but they don't use a lot of glue, and it is quite easy to remove. The manufacturers insole is very thick, and that is important because it means that you can replace it with a real orthotic, which is also quite thick, and your foot still sits in a natural place in the shoe. The wide width is truly wide and the shoe looks great with pants of any sort. It is a perfect work shoe. The only problem is that it runs small. Nearly every pair of shoes in my closet is a size 9 with an occasional 8.5 sprinkled in, and I could not wear the nines at all. The size 9.5, however, fit just like all my other size 9 shoes, so just order a half size larger and you will be fine and won't need to do as many returns as I did!

Great shoe!
I buy these over and over again because they are perfect for my feet. I am on my feet all day, everyday so they get worn out but they are a great shoe. The laces are a bit thin and don’t last long so I do end up getting different laces, but worth it for the comfort.

I have a wide foot I could not get my high arch foot and wide foot with orthotics in these.So, I cannot comment on comfort. They looked comfortable. Looked like a nice quality shoe. Disappointed it did not fit my feet.

Good classic oxford shoe.
For whatever reason, oxfords just aren't in right now (maybe because they've never been overly "cute" shoes?) Found these here - I already knew my size, 8W - and they fit exactly right. Comfortable, well-made, and not terribly unattractive in my opinion. The shoelaces won't stay tied, but that's a classic eastland problem. It's the wax they use. A swap of the laces will fix that.

I ordered 8 1/2 W, they fit okay but for a wide shoe they are more narrow than I think they should be. Still comfortable to wear to work, just had to adjust the thickness of my socks. Overall I am very please with the look and comfort of them.

The quality of the stain/finish, durability, and the comfort.
These shoes are very comfortable; however, the quality is not what I have received from Eastland shoes in the past. The finish changes to a faded brown the linger I wore the, and it was just where my shoes bends at the toes. I ended up polishing them to make them look better. I had only worn them a couple of week, 4 days a week. I also notice that they scuff very easy and the scuff still shows after I polish them.
