So comfortable, my new favorite shoes
I love these shoes. Purchased for a trip to Europe, where walking was 15000- 20000 steps per day. These shoes were so comfortable, not as comfortable as the sneakers I brought (Dr. Scholls Time Off), because sneakers have a different kind of insole but these were absolutely perfect for multiple days. The lug sole, soft and flexible upper made for easy walking on cobblestones and never hurt my feet, not once- no tightness, no rubbing, no squeezing, not a single blister, just perfect. This is an excellent shoe and if it ever wears out I will purchase again. My new "go to" shoes for when I have to walk or stand a lot and prefer something nicer than sneakers. I love them and strongly recommend, especially if you're like me and have a high arch, dislike the look and feel of true flats, and have trouble finding shoes that don't cause numbness or pins and needles in my toes. Eastland makes the best shoes for me. I am between a 9 and 9.5, most of my shoes are 9, but I sized up to 9.5 for these and am so happy I did.

These are great shoes!
Very comfortable right away. I'm happy I read reviews and got a size larger than usual. The hard part getting on is that the opening for foot is narrow but once on they are great. No issues. I'd say not good for very wide feet. Best with socks of course with this type of shoe. Support and soft inner lining. Not shiny, which is nice, and cool sole. Hopefully they last a while!Update: I still love these shoes a year later. I use a shoehorn to get them on so I don't ruin the backs. They look great and didn't stretch. Slightly waterproof for the rain and the sole wears well, not too soft to wear down fast.

I loved the brown shoes so much I bought a black pair also!!
Pros:• Comfortable - I like my shoes fitted to my foot with just a little wiggle room for my toes only, I wear a size 8 medium with a small heel and these fit perfect.• Have a low arch support if any - since I have low arches that is great and hard to find• While there isn't much cushion in the bottom, the shoes aren't uncomfortable at all. I wear these to work and out and about, and I never get to the point where I need to take them off. I truly can wear them comfortably all day.• Great design details. The brown shoes have a slight variation in color that helps make it a good looking shoe and the stitching adds an element to the design without being overwhelming. This isn't true on the black shoes. I would give a 3.5 stars for the black pair design - they are just a little to too bland.• Well constructed.Cons:• They take a while to stretch them out to get them to be a true slip on shoe. When you first start to put them on you will think they are too small, but once your foot is in them they fit perfect. Minor inconvenience in my way of thinking.I love these shoes and highly recommend them. They are worth every penny!

Good Quality, slightly snugger fit.
These are my third try at replacing a pair of my old Eastlands. They have changed the materials and style slightly after my 4-year old pair needed replacing. I like the look and style of finish of the uppers and soles, so I decided to give them a try. I need a shoe with good traction in snow/ice but not the bulk of an actual snow boot.After reading the reviews, it sounded as they fit snugly. I typically wear a 7 1/2, but with eastlands its usually an 8 due to the length, and the upper can tend to be slightly looser than I like. I stayed with the size 8 and previous reviewers were not kidding when they say these do fit more snugly than usual. I did need a shoehorn for getting them on the first & second time. I have had them for a day now and have been wearing around the house. They are breaking in nicely!These are a great replacement for my old, worn out eastlands, and I anticipate they will last for several years!

Trying to make them fit
I am giving this product 3 stars because they are so nice looking. But they are way too tight and too small for comfort. I ordered a half size larger because I wanted to wear in the winter with heavy socks.The first day I wore them all day and thought they were going to cut off my circulation specially on the left foot. Interestingly, they are more comfortable when I am walking, probably because my feet have the weight on the bottom of the shoe which is somewhat comfortable. But I sit at work most of the day. When not wearing them, I insert a bottle in the left shoe to try to expand.Second day, slightly better but still uncomfortable. I just really wanted to like these shoes, and I still think I can expand them with a shoe expander for a few days. So at the end of the day, I decided to cut the elastic on the top. This makes it much easier to put on and remove, and made the right shoe so much more comfortable (which made the left one feel worse in comparison). And I also undid the buckle. It's crazy to do all this for shoes but like I said, they are just so pretty.Wore them again 3rd day, and then decided not to wear them anymore until I can make them wider.I wanted to like them and get a 2nd pair in black, but I have put off doing this. I still want them. If they end up fitting, I'll get the black a size larger and in wide.
