These shoes are great.
I work for USPS and have to wear a protective type of shoe. I found a no slip brand that I loved but the place I bought them from closed and I could not find the brand in my size any where. So I started trying to find a shoe that worked for me. I tried several brands but none fit right. UNTIL I found Eastland shoes. The shoe is true to size though I do but the wide because my toes like to have extra room! The sole is thick and doesn't wear down. They have good arch support and the whole shoe inside has cushion. They are tie shoes which I have to have for work but I can make them as tight as I like, or as loose! I am on my feet standing or walking most of 8 hours a day. These shoes are comfortable and don't rub or cause blisters. If you need a good working, walking shoe, this is the one for you.

Great price
My daughter requires this shoe. We originally purchased them from a uniform store and paid over $120. I later found them on Amazon and returned them to the uniform store. She has worn them for 2 months and so far they are holding up very well. They look great with her uniform. She says they are very comfortable. The leather was not stiff, so did not cause blisters.I would size up as they seem to run a little small.

Narrow and Tight
These Eastland Plainview Oxford shoes, made with full grain leather, are attractive; however, they are lack sufficient material and do not fit comfortably. Having recently purchased several pairs of dress shoes, I know that my feet measure a solid 6.5 wide. These oxfords are noticeably tighter and more narrow than my recently purchased shoes. They may be the correct size (length), but I couldn't keep my foot in the shoe for more than a few seconds, so I cannot say for certain. They most certainly are not a "wide" shoe. Other reviewers recommend sizing up when wearing thick socks, but I was wearing thin socks and I don't believe going a size larger would make a difference.

Comfortable right out of the box
These were comfortable as soon as I put them on. They are a bit stiff, but that did not affect how comfortable they are. I ordered the brownish/tanish ones. The color is a little weird in natural light but I still like them. There is little to no arch support though. They are very supportive and my feet felt sturdy.I normally wear a size 6m, but I sized up based upon the reviews. I ordered a 6 1/2 Wide although I do not have wide feet. They fit perfectly.I would have given 5 stars, but due to the color and the lack of arch support I dropped it down. But that being said... it's still a great shoe. I have no regrets.

Half size up and wide
Very comfortable. They are masculine but I find most Eastland are. I was able to put them on and wear them the first time all day. Very lightweight. I have bought Eastlands many times in the past always had to wear lightweight socks. Through the reviews I realized I needed a wide and I sized up a half size. Made a huge difference. Because of the way the sole is made it doesn’t feel like they have heels at all. I have bought these in black and brown and wear them often with jeans and slacks.

Way to small.
I have small narrow feet, normally wear a 5.5 or 6, wanted to wear with bulky socks so ordered 6.5 I was able to get my right foot in wearing a peds, the left foot on the other hand I was not able to slide in at all. Shoe uppers are very stiff. The bottom I thought would be more rubbery but they are rigid as well almost like hard plastic, I was concerned that you could slip on wet or icy pavement. I really wanted to love these shoes as I had something similar that were quite comfortable and a little flexible. These look nice but are super tight. I did also order a size 7 after I read some of the reviews saying they were tight and they too were just as narrow as the 6.5 just a little longer in the toe and heel area. For those that want to know if you can take out insole to replace with orthotics, yes you can. As for having the shoe stretched , I didn’t want to go to all the fuss and still have a very stiff shoe that needed to be broken in. My other shoes didn’t have to have that done to them, they were comfortable from the beginning. The size 6.5 arrived without plastic baggies covering each shoe, I didn’t find that a problem until I saw that the size 7’s were expertly wrapped and bagged, meaning that I must have received a returned item. Don’t mind that considering you are purchasing an online product. Just putting it out there after all this is a review. Would like to try a 6.5 wide but they are not available at this time.
