Great shoes, beautiful brown leather and good quality!
These shoes were comfort right out of the box. They seem like good quality with a little weight to them without being big and bulky. At a size 10 they don't look ridiculously big like some loafers do. The insole is soft and supportive. I have a different style of Eastland loafers in black and love them also so decided to try this pair in beautiful brown leather. I love the color and the little buckle details. They go great in the fall with bootcut jeans and a sweater but you could dress them up a little too. I expect this leather will age well and will get the typical worn and scuff spots which I'm totally ok with. Eastland is a win with me. Great brand.

Ankle jabbing
I really wanted to like these shoes, enough so that I wore these for a day. They are a little big, maybe lengthwise. Fat socks may help. Ordering a 1/2 size down may help. Width seems fine. But what I cannot seem to correct is the side top-edge of the shoe jabbing into my ankles on the outsides of my legs. This is painful! I added foam inserts. Shoes too tight. I removed original insert to replace with foam, didn’t correct the problem. Now I’m attempting heel inserts. It’s better, but still slightly jabbing. Also, I’m unsure how this will affect everything (foot/knee/joint pain) for a long 10-hour day! I’m willing to attempt these one more day, and if my heel inserts don’t help, they’re history. The expense of the shoe isn’t worth this hassle. Maybe I have skinny heels. Who knew? I’m not getting the wear out of these that I need. Other than the ankle jabbing issues, the look is okay. I’d prefer them to be more chunky. The heel is a dark brown. I assumed it was black. Just be smarter than I was & don’t wear these outside if you have the same issue so you can immediately return them.
