GREAT SHOE but if you have a slim heel, order a narrow!

At the advice of other reviews on this shoe running narrow, I went ahead and ordered a medium instead of the narrow that I typically wear. While the shoe it's self fits very comfortably across the foot, the reason I need a narrow is due to my slim heels and I find the medium does not snug my heel area. This shoe is wonderful and looks so much better in person than in the picture but next time I will order a Narrow. If you have a narrow foot and normal heel area, order a medium. If you buy narrows because of a slim heel, buy a narrow.

I own a very comfortable pair of Easy Street black pumps that I purchased ...

I own a very comfortable pair of Easy Street black pumps that I purchased years ago that are finally cracking across the right front. I ordered the same size, WW, expecting to find the same width and comfort as my current size WW. No way! I could hardly get my foot into the shoe. Easy Street has apparently joined the headlong rush by manufacturers to save money by subtly cutting corners on sizes, thicknesses, weight, volume, and in every way possible pare down the former dimensions of a product. Have you noticed sizes are smaller, materials thinner, quantities smaller, and all for the same price as before, or more? Product shrinkage can be difficult to spot, but my bunions sure knew the difference! Too bad, because would I love to have another pair of Easy Street pumps as comfortable as the ones I currently own but can't wear in public. Thanks for listening to this rant from a 72 year old woman who still remembers when quality was a given. Sorry, Easy Street. Make 'em like you used to, please!

great shoes for costumes

I bought these to use with my Silent Hill Nurse costume for Halloween. They were great! I roughed them up with sandpaper a little, and painted them with a brown wash and some blood spatter, and they looked perfect. The heel height wasn't too tall, and they fit very well. I have narrow feet, so sometimes it's difficult to find high heels that will actually stay on my feet. I generally find that I have to order a half size smaller for heels in order for them to fit well, and found that these followed that rule as well (i.e. if your chuck taylors are an 8.5, go with an 8). I would definitely purchase these again if I needed another color for a different costume.
